Holiday Inn Express Shreveport Bert Kouns, Shreveport

This hotel is practically new;I think it opened around April of 2006. The rooms and overall hotel are spotlessly clean and there's was never a lot of noise in the room. The pool is great and also very clean. The breakfast in the morning was above average and the staff was usually friendly, but we did get some attitude from the man working the desk one of the nights we were there because we had asked for a non smoking room and he had given us a smoking one, but it was resolved. The area of town that this hotel is in is really one of the better areas in Shreveport. You are safe staying here unlike some of the other hotels at the airport or even at the Casino hotels. I was born and raised in Shreveport so I know this to be true. The only other decent hotel in S'port that isn't at the boats is the Sheraton and it is in desperate need of a renovation last time I was there. Anyhow, hope this helps. Oh, and one last thing, the matresses and pillows that they have here are AWESOME! I plan on buying the pillows from Holiday Inn when they become available.
