Duta Hacienda Riviera Resort, Pasir Panjang

I have to agree totally with other reviews about this resort. My holiday was almost ruined when I saw the blocks of abandoned/ rundown blocks of apartments before arriving Duta Resort. - apartment block is 5-10 mins drive from the reception area - breakfast area is 5-10 mins drive away from apartment block - breakfast has a limited spread of bread, fried rice and fried black noodles ONLY - no room service - bedsheets were soiled - no house phone (use your own cellphone to call for housekeeping) - apartment stinks - dead pigeon found on the balcony - resort is far away from beach (10-15 mins drive) - the vicinity looks haunted - etc etc etc I would believe an Hotel 81 is better than this, any time. In the end, we check-out and moved in to Tiara Beach Resort which is just opposite the street and never regret our decision.

This place is totally a disaster. No car!? Don't go, it is an extremely remote area. No beach! Not a place as they advertised. Sand pool: green colored and smelled pool water. Kids pool: closed as all time. Outdoor jacuzzi: I bet you won't want to use them, not maintained well. Let me tell you, their rooms are so far away (10-15mins walking) from their reception with no transportation help from the hotel. We just walked in to a not serviced room with all the blankets and pillows on the floor. This is the first impression of the room, Gosh!!!!! No phone in the room, they except you to have a cell phone like everybody does even you are from the foreign country. After complaining to their security guide then we got transfer to a better room like after half an hour. Forget it. Look for other hotel! Reception could not even find our booking by time of checking in. Confirmation of our booking and payment was after a few hours.
