"So-so" hotel, HORRIBLE service, ruined our trip
Imagine, if you will, a GM so terrible that when you say you're not happy with his handling of your situation and ask who HIS manager is, replies that he doesn't have a manager, except for "Holiday Inn". Right!
Stayed here in two rooms for a weekend trip. Rooms were fine, with some issues - leaking toilet, stained blanket, dysfunctional hair dryer.
HOWEVER - Our overall experience, starting with botched reservations and rate problems that almost bordered on deceptive practice, landed me speaking to Guest Relations before we ever arrived. Arrival day at 5:20pm we were told that one of our rooms was not ready, despite a 4pm check in time. To "make up" for the problems, we were invited to the restaurant for what turned out to be a 2-hour nightmare dinner that was comped after we told the waiter that there was no way we would pay for such poor food & service. Small, irritating problems continued throughout.
Kudos to Rebecca at the Front Desk for being the one person who tried most to be helpful. HUGE BOO - to the current GM (Jeff S) and Guest Relations for their pitiful attempt at "restitution". STAY SOMEWHERE….ANYWHERE…. ELSE!!!
