It needs cleaning up!!!
If location is important to you then this is definitely NOT the place to stay... it's in a "far far away land". But for honeymooners, it's very quiet and private and a good place to stay in bed (with bugs).
The villa's roof is made of some sort of material (I don't know what it's called in English) that needs treatment, and apparently they didn't do a great job at is so there was bugs falling off the ceiling to the white fluffy bed. So I had to collect the bugs in a glass of water and showed it to the manager on duty. They said that they were going to change the roof once we checked-out.
The spa is like any other spa in 5-star hotels... but not so clean. Once you're done with your spa they give you cookies and tea... but when you look around there are crumbs of cookies from previous spa goers.
Food is terrible... really.... they try to make everything sound exciting "wagyu satay" and "wagyu this and that" but they don't taste quite well. They did however gave us the lunch for free because we complain about the room full of bugs.
The beach is nice but you can't swim in it because of the strong current.
Upon check out, they told us that the general manager would call to apologize blah blah... but he never did. So we wrote an email to them and they actually gave us a 3 night stay in our next visit. (They didn't give us any discount during our visit but that free lunch). But until they change the location and the roof, we're not planning to go back.
If you are a first time visitor to Bali, I strongly recommend The Legian Hotel. They have direct access to beach, great staff, great location, surrounded by all the happening places in Bali.
