Fairfield Inn Suites Rapid City, Rapid City

We took our family over the weekend and drove 4 hours to swim on saturday. We checked in Friday nite and was told our swimming passes would b valid on saturday morning from 8am-10pm...Well my 10 yr old and 3 yr old waited all nite long to swim saturday.We were told saturday morning our wristbands expired friday:( Talked to front desk,nothing could be done,talked to MANAGER,nothing could be done. So Their mistake cost us 30$.Its costly enough to travel with out haveing to throw away your money from someone eless mistake...I am from sheridan wyoming and know many people who Love Watiki but if nothing is done i plan on telling my story to people who inntend on going to watiki. I AM STILL IN SHOCK! THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I HAVE EVER BEEN THAT DOSENT CARE ABOUT THERE CUSTOMERS.THE MANAGER LOOKED LIKE HE WAS IN PAJAMAS!

The young girl working at the front desk, made a mistake in our bill when we checked out. She didn't know the facts and her mistake cost us $250! The manager on duty was rude, unhelpful and actually lied to me on the phone. This waterpark is NOT worth the amount of money that they charge. The play area is only for small children. That leaves the waterslides (3) and the pool for older children to play in. We'd never been to S. Dakota, so we based our decision to stay at Fairfield on website pictures. I've never written an online review, but because of our terrible experience, felt compelled to share. Two employees decided to "clean" the floor of the waterpark while we were there. They used hoses to spray the floor, which resulted in a HUGE amount of dirt and grime being pushed around the floor and into the drain. It was disgusting to watch while we were trying to relax. The floors can't be cleaned at night, after the waterpark is closed? The breakfast food was terrible. I would NOT recommend this hotel and will not stay there again when we visit S. Dakota. We stayed at another hotel during our vacation and it was much cleaner, friendlier and less expensive. Staying at the Fairfield was a disappointing experience at the end of a wonderful vacation. One more thing...do NOT book hotels through a third party. Between the 3rd party and Fairfield hassling us and dragging their feet, we decided to quit fighting the bill. $250 down the drain. Not many people have that kind of money to throw away at a hotel. .

Very clean rooms, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The water park was awesome! It too was super clean, well lit and is was all i could do to get my kids to leave when it was time to go. I would definitely recommend it for the family and will be back again for sure!

We really enjoy taking our boys(13 and 16) here to the waterpark. Rooms have always been clean, beds are very comfortable, rooms are nice size even for 4 people. Hallways can be very noisy with people coming and going to waterpark. Breakfast area has an outside door that can get very breezy when opened and outright cold in the winter. Rates are very up and down, depending on season-January rates are about $60.

Ease of access. Clean and comfortable. Pretty good location. Made it easy to see the sites we wanted to see.

This was the worst experience of Marriot EVER! Not to mention it was our first. So we checked in and went straight to our room. We were 6 people and had booked a suite. When we enter the room we find that it isn't a suite and that they expect us to have 2 people sleep in a rollover by the end of the bed. And then they wont be able to get up or anything. They have to stand up on the rollover and then jump. It was ridiculus. In addition to that. We are all tired from our 13 hour drive and busy day. When we confronted the front desk he said WE ARE SORRY. Now you tell me..how is that going to help us. He then said to wait for tomorrow and he will get us a suite. When we asked if that was a guarantee he said it wasn't. And while we are outraged by the stupidity of the hotel (because of the lack of space for even 4 people) all he was saying was SORRY. Not even a little....would you like to talk to the manager..or we will give you free tickets to the water park ( they have a waterpark in the hotel but you have pay EXTRA for it)...or anything. Then he insist we find another hotel. GREAT!! We are all tired.We all want to go straight to bed. We have to cancel the hotel. And then go and find another one at such a short notice? What we were mostly outraged about was that we booked the suite 3 weeks earlier and then they give the suite to someone else and don't even inform us that we are not getting the suite! AND get this..they only had TWO suites!! THE STUPIDITY. I must say. You should never go here. THIS IS THE WORST HOTEL EVER. THE STAFF IS HORRIBLE. THE BATHROOMS WERE FILTHY AND THE ORGANIZATION IS HORRIBLE. So instead they helped us book for COMFORT INN

This is our first trip to Rapid City and chose it for the waterpark for our five kids. We were very pleasantly surprised by the quality and size of the suites...especially for a Fairfield! Very clean, beautiful and roomy. The beds were very nice, breakfast was plenty for all and the waterpark was a huge hit with the kids. We came in the off season and entrance to the waterpark was only $30 for 5 tickets! We also took the time to visit Mount Rushmore while here and the trip was only about 25 minutes from the hotel and is quite beautiful the whole drive.

Being a seasoned traveler I have been to many hotels and the staff service and compassion for what they do compares to none. From check-in, to directions, dining recommendations and the complimentary shuttle service for the local area, everything was wonderful. Breakfast was great and the wireless internet was convenient. They made me feel welcome and at home for my week stay with them. If you are looking for a hotel that cares, stay here.

We were in Rapid City to attend a funeral and the staff at the Fairfield Marriot could not have been more kind and helpful! The girls at the front desk were friendly and so accomodating! The van driver went out of his way to transport us around town. The service was the best I have ever experienced! Our suite was clean and comfortable, the whole experience made our sad trip much easier to get through! I highly recommend this hotel and will stay again!!

This was so so much fun!!Our room was very comfortable and clean.The water park was clean&lots of fun.We wore bracelets so we didn't have to carry money.The lifegaurds were not as attentive as they could have been.But overall my whole family had fun.
