Awful experience!!!

The young girl working at the front desk, made a mistake in our bill when we checked out. She didn't know the facts and her mistake cost us $250! The manager on duty was rude, unhelpful and actually lied to me on the phone. This waterpark is NOT worth the amount of money that they charge. The play area is only for small children. That leaves the waterslides (3) and the pool for older children to play in. We'd never been to S. Dakota, so we based our decision to stay at Fairfield on website pictures. I've never written an online review, but because of our terrible experience, felt compelled to share. Two employees decided to "clean" the floor of the waterpark while we were there. They used hoses to spray the floor, which resulted in a HUGE amount of dirt and grime being pushed around the floor and into the drain. It was disgusting to watch while we were trying to relax. The floors can't be cleaned at night, after the waterpark is closed? The breakfast food was terrible. I would NOT recommend this hotel and will not stay there again when we visit S. Dakota. We stayed at another hotel during our vacation and it was much cleaner, friendlier and less expensive. Staying at the Fairfield was a disappointing experience at the end of a wonderful vacation. One more thing...do NOT book hotels through a third party. Between the 3rd party and Fairfield hassling us and dragging their feet, we decided to quit fighting the bill. $250 down the drain. Not many people have that kind of money to throw away at a hotel. .
