Description

Welcome to the Pride Motel and Cottages in Scarborough, Maine. Our motel and cottages have been a family run establishment since 1967. If you are planning a Maine vacation, we hope you will consider staying with us - we have spacious grounds with picnic areas, a heated pool, and rec-room with laundry facilities. Nearby are un-crowded Maine beaches, amusement parks, and fine restaurants. We are also centrally located for day trips to outlet shopping in Freeport and Kittery, touring inland and coastal vistas, or exploring all that Portland, Maine has to offer. Our ten uniquely individual cottages are seasonal and are comfortably appointed with cable TV with HBO, air conditioning, private bath, fully equipped kitchens, daily maid service, and sleep 2 to 8 people. Our motel is open year round and has both smoking and non-smoking rooms, free local telephone, cable TV, air conditioning, and either kitchenettes or refrigerators. We are child friendly and are a family favorite, please come and find out why we are called Just like home.

Cozy & comfortable

We have been staying in Cottage #10 every year - for years - while attending my Family Reunion. Several of my extended family members also stay at Pride Motel for the annual Reunions. We like the cottage so much that we stay over an extra day or two and just relax. We like the fact that the cottages are set back from the road - among some trees. The Pride Motel is very convenient to my Reunion location, to all of the places we like to visit, to the places where we like to shop, and where we like to eat. Everything one would want is easily available within a very short distance. Patrick and Sue are wonderful people and really do a superb job of making people feel comfortable! The cottage is much roomier, comfortable, and quieter than a motel room. And, the fully equipped kitchen is a big bonus! The cottage and the grounds are extremely well maintained! We like having the chickens nearby. They are amusing to watch. Allen H

For the price of a hotel you can get away from the cookie cut box room and have a private cabin with two bedrooms and a kitchenette. Felt at home.

Great value and location

This is our 2nd stay at Pride Motel. Each time we have stayed in one of the cottages. The cottages are clean, comfortable, and include all the necessary amenities. What makes the cottages special and unique is that it is not like your run of the mill/boring motel room. The cottages are tucked away in a wooded area, giving you the illusion that you are not in an urban area. Our cottage was equipped with a kitchen with the basic amenities which made you feel at home and not in a hotel room. This location is highly recommended if your in the Portland area especially for an extended number of days.

Great time

We had a wonderful vacation with our granddaughters, they had a wonderful time playing on the playground and swimming in the pool. Also nice and close to Splashtown/Funtown.

We enjoyed our stay

We stayed in cabin 5. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of room. The cottage was very clean and modern. There was a big play yard for the boys to play in and they enjoyed the pool. The beach was only a couple minutes away. The cottage was well equiped and maid service was good. Owners were friendly and very helpful. The grounds were very well kept. We would love to stay here again.

Stay and stay again!!!

When staying here I can count on relaxation in a clean, well kept motel or cottage. I have made repeat trips to the area as i can rely on my stay at the Pride to be a positive one. The grounds are nicely kept and I have enjoyed walking my dog around viewing some turkeys and a fox along the tree line. I look forward to another stay during the summer. :)

Ahh, the Cool Pool During a Record Warm Week

This week was not the first time staying at the Pride. We have stayed in the cabins as well as the Pride's rooms. We have always found it very clean and convieniently located to family, beaches, Old Port area, ball games, and LL Bean. This is a recommended stay for budget minded families. Very helpful owners and staff. The only negative (which would be solved by staying in a cabin)- the room was a bit small for the packages we collected from our shopping trips.

Cute, Comfortable and Clean

We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival at The Pride Motel and Cottages. We found the grounds and the cottages very neat and clean. Last minute sceduling changes made the number in our party increase by 2. The Pride staff and ownership were more than willing to work with us to ensure that we had adequate accomidations. We are already planning next years trip back!!

Best choice for families !

My family and I love going to Pride Motel and cottages at summer because it's close to Old Orchard Beach, to South Portland shopping centers, grocery stores, Aquaboggan, Amusement Parks and few hours to other major cities like (Boston, Salem, State of New Hampshire and it's tax free liquor stores :), Kittery with their great Factory Outlets and so on)... The cottages are humbles but clean and well kept. There is a heated pool that is much appreciate by my son and many other commodities. Thank's to Patrick & Sue O'Reilly and see you very soon !
