The Pride Motel & Cottages, Scarborough

For the price of a hotel you can get away from the cookie cut box room and have a private cabin with two bedrooms and a kitchenette. Felt at home.

We have been staying in Cottage #10 every year - for years - while attending my Family Reunion. Several of my extended family members also stay at Pride Motel for the annual Reunions. We like the cottage so much that we stay over an extra day or two and just relax. We like the fact that the cottages are set back from the road - among some trees. The Pride Motel is very convenient to my Reunion location, to all of the places we like to visit, to the places where we like to shop, and where we like to eat. Everything one would want is easily available within a very short distance. Patrick and Sue are wonderful people and really do a superb job of making people feel comfortable! The cottage is much roomier, comfortable, and quieter than a motel room. And, the fully equipped kitchen is a big bonus! The cottage and the grounds are extremely well maintained! We like having the chickens nearby. They are amusing to watch. Allen H

We stayed in cabin 5. There were 7 of us and we had plenty of room. The cottage was very clean and modern. There was a big play yard for the boys to play in and they enjoyed the pool. The beach was only a couple minutes away. The cottage was well equiped and maid service was good. Owners were friendly and very helpful. The grounds were very well kept. We would love to stay here again.

We had a wonderful vacation with our granddaughters, they had a wonderful time playing on the playground and swimming in the pool. Also nice and close to Splashtown/Funtown.

This week was not the first time staying at the Pride. We have stayed in the cabins as well as the Pride's rooms. We have always found it very clean and convieniently located to family, beaches, Old Port area, ball games, and LL Bean. This is a recommended stay for budget minded families. Very helpful owners and staff. The only negative (which would be solved by staying in a cabin)- the room was a bit small for the packages we collected from our shopping trips.

When staying here I can count on relaxation in a clean, well kept motel or cottage. I have made repeat trips to the area as i can rely on my stay at the Pride to be a positive one. The grounds are nicely kept and I have enjoyed walking my dog around viewing some turkeys and a fox along the tree line. I look forward to another stay during the summer. :)

This is our 2nd stay at Pride Motel. Each time we have stayed in one of the cottages. The cottages are clean, comfortable, and include all the necessary amenities. What makes the cottages special and unique is that it is not like your run of the mill/boring motel room. The cottages are tucked away in a wooded area, giving you the illusion that you are not in an urban area. Our cottage was equipped with a kitchen with the basic amenities which made you feel at home and not in a hotel room. This location is highly recommended if your in the Portland area especially for an extended number of days.

Just got back from 2 nights at the Pride liked the location. easy to Porland and the beach area. clean ,comfortable, Will go back if in the area

This was our fifth year at this location. We also got married here two years ago, so it is a special place to us. It is a combination of motel rooms and cottages. The cottages are located at the back of the property, so it is really quiet. We like the quaintness of the cottage that we stay in every year. It is reminiscent of childhood vacations, but with some modern conveniences. There is a fully stocked kitchen (we like to cook a lot of meals), new air conditioner and mattress and cable TV. Every day the housekeeping staff comes by to to their duties and also to fulfill any service request you might have. The pool is well-mantained and heated. For the guests' convenience, there is a computer available for use in the registration office. There is also a single-serve coffee machine, free. It is centrally located to many areas-shopping, Portland, beach and local events. I can't say enough good things about this establishment. The owners, Patrick and Sue, are friendly and accomodating to any requests. It is just overall a great, relaxing place for all ages to stay in. I have recommende this place to others.

We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival at The Pride Motel and Cottages. We found the grounds and the cottages very neat and clean. Last minute sceduling changes made the number in our party increase by 2. The Pride staff and ownership were more than willing to work with us to ensure that we had adequate accomidations. We are already planning next years trip back!!
