Hyatt Regency Dongguan, Dongguan

Recently a friend recommended the Hyatt Regency Dongguan as a "getaway" destination for Hong Kong residents who normally have to catch a flight to another country or take the turbo jet to Macau. the bus went direct from wanchai ferry terminal and after passing through immigration at Luk ma chau the 30 minute journey to the hotel was pleasant and fast. I was travelling with my sister and our elderly mom who didn't want to be flying, passing thru customs and immigration for a whole day before arriving at a hotel. Great choice, the staff were excellent- friendly, helpful, warm and very welcoming. the restaurants were open, well designed and the food delicious. for entertainment we lounged in the infinity pool, rode bikes to the lotus ponds across the lake and had a very relaxing holiday. For the return home we caught the express train and were at the shenzen border in 30 minutes. i cant wait until my next visit and to share this discovery with friends. jennifer morris
