My partner and I went to this hotel for a romantic night out in the city.
We checked in and went to our first room. We had a look around. The room was small. The King size bed was actually 2 single beds put together. We opened the fridge, its not stocked. Also was not on, and water spilled on the floor. Hmmm, not off to a good start. We had the room changed over. This time it was smaller. Same thing with the king size beds (2 singles together) Fridge was working, but again not stocked. Writing desk had enough room for a laptop, and nothing else.
We decided to have a little nap before we went out for the night. That turned out to be a little difficult. There are no block out curtains in the window. So the room is quite bright. Also, the room had a sliding window that would not seal (There is at least a .5 cm gap between panes). So you hear all the street noise. The walls are thin, and since they clean the rooms late in the day, we heard banging and vacuuming the whole time. We could hear the people above us and around us every sneeze, every cough.
Those 2 single beds are not comfortable with the ridge in the middle. At least the aircon worked for a 37 deg. day. The one good thing of the room.
The second day, after spending the day in town. we come back and our room is not made. We were also after some lunch. No can do. Hotel Restaurant is closed on weekends, which isn't documented anywhere. Room service menu is a bit sparse and there isn't that much around the area open during lunch time except Subway a few blocks away .
Oh, while I’m at it, we never received our Gym pass.
We made a complaint, but the staff didn't care.
Upon checkout, it seems there was a queue to complain. The person in front of us was not a happy customer either.
Not a 4 star hotel, and definitely too expensive for the service (or lack of) you get.
