Generally good

This hotel is well appointed and most of the staff is friendly--although I have to say I found the front desk staff not all that welcoming. I've been there more than once. Unlike many hotels of its caliber, you don't see them smiling when you come in, etc. And I found the bell staff outright rude--I arrived there recently in a rental car and found that parking is additional--$24/day for valet parking and $14 otherwise--and the garage is a long block away. When I said I was stopping just to check in, and didn't want valet parking, one bellman that afternoon SLAMMED my car door in my face!!!! Quite a treat after driving in a rental from Newark airport!
Also, I asked the front desk my last day with help w/ getting to the first part of my Mapquest directions to another city. Without my asking him to, he redid them through Google. Foolishly, I didn't look at these and later found that he never inputted the street address of my destination, just the community. I was completely unfamiliar with NJ and this resulted in my getting totally lost and arriving 45 minutes late for my meeting.
Finally, I would ask the staff re where to walk around. It's not a bad neighborhood and centrally located, but I walked in one direction and though it looked OK, was later told it was a semi-dangerous neighborhood.
Overall, mixed bag--though the food was good and rooms and amenities nice.
