We made our reservation through Hilton reservation for the Luxury hotel Molino Stocky Hilton in Venice Italy about one month ago in United States to also celebrate my wife’s birth day, I called the hotel in Venice Italy several days in advance to check on reservation to insure that it would not be any complication during our checking in since we were a family of four and we were re-assured that it would not be any problems during checking in. Up on arrival the first thing they did at the checking in was to try to up our room charge to about 800.00 euro from 519.00 euro to a different room and we did not agree, then I asked to break the 500.00 currency I had to a smaller denominations to make it manageable in town and they could not do it and they wanted me to go to a back in Venice for my transaction. Finally we made it to the room the bellman did bring our luggage the left the luggage trolley in front of our room and left then we noticed the front door and its hinges to the room were damaged with the possibility of the door falling, stained carpet, cart ins apparatus were damaged and almost broken off the wall, the metal bathroom door stopper bent and rusted, stained or mold on bathroom ceiling, several bathroom apparatus parts were missing, bathroom wall mirror stained and more, I did inform the reception desk special about the door for our safety I don’t believe she understood what door hinges are. I feel when a Hotel specially by Hilton charging 519.00 euro per night and 28.00 for a cheese burger and 8.00 euro for a beer the less they could do keep the room in order, I went to the exclusive restaurant to get reservation for my wife’s birthday I was told big party at the restaurant and they had no place that night, I sat at the restaurant next door to it and it appeared one of the big tables was empty until about 9:00 pm, I am surprised with this hotel specially with a Hilton attached to it I would not come back to this hotel.
