The Queens Hotel, York

The location was perfect just over the bridge to the main city centre, on a quiet road right beside the river. Reception people were very welcoming and helpful, as were all the staff we encountered on our 3 night break. We had a river view room which made a difference, so many boats to see and hustle and bustle of pub opposite. Rooms were clean and more than adequate for our stay. Breakfast was self service buffet with a good choice of hot food, cereal, coissants, toast etc. The bar was excellent value and was as cheap as drinking in town, unlike many hotel bars. Would recommend to all ages, we are going back later this year for another stay for sure.
