website and pamplet misleading.

My wife and I drove around looking for the place for 30 minutes. No one had ever heard of the place including some Forestry men. None of the other motels and baithouses ever heard of them also. Finally went on our laptop and called the number. Yes, John is a nice fellow. Yes, the side of the mobile home that he rents out was clean. Yes, there is a 16' canoe with a small trolling motor that comes with the rental. Has about 2 hours worth of battery, hope the tides not running on your way back.
We were expecting "cottages" as the add stated. Said you have your own cottage to enjoy. What you really get is to share 1/2 of a double wide with John. The tiki bar is where the TV is--hope you want to watch what John's watching. It is a double wide that has a screened in breeze-way between your rental and John's side of the house. That's why in his pictures you only get one side view not the complete view of the trailer. Parking is at a premium. And NO there are not "cottages as the add implies.' There's only one rental --John's house. Now if I were related to John and coming for a visit this would be ok but, it would be like spending the weekend at your parents house with your new girlfriend. Good view but no hanky panky.
I'm 62, and belive me there's still a lot of life between my wife and I and John is just TOO CLOSE.
The costs is too high for what you get too. I don't hold any bad feelings, but I just believe John needs to TELL IT LIKE IT IS! And not expect his renters to pay for his half of the trailer.
Good luck John...........Shopuld've listened to the Bad review and not the ones written by your in-laws and out-laws.
