Tripler Guest House, Honolulu

I thought of writing and ranting about the lady at the front desk and her lack of customer service but I decided not to. There is already too much negativity written about this place already. The view is nice though.

WTF! This place has had bad ratings for a couple years now. Why does the Army believe in having their Soldiers and Families (including our Wounded Warriors) stay in such appalling, molded, and unsanitary conditions?? Didn't they learn anything from Walter Reed? It's sad.. How is it that the MWR Manager or the Director of Community Activities still have a job? Soldiers, do not stay here!! You will not be happy. Avoided this place all together and stayed down town. It cost a whole lot more, but when the government is picking up the tab, you do what you have to do to be treated better. You are serving our country. You deserve better...

This is the worst place I have ever stayed. There were huge roaches everywhere and they don't clean the rooms regularly. I think my son was scared of even going to sleep, he was scared the roaches would get on him. They are so over priced and for what???? They won't even take care of the rooms they have. Not to mention they are still charging my card and I left December 15th.

This so called guest house was in such disrepair that I am suprised its not condemed! There were bugs everywhere which is compounded by the fact the hotel staff only cleans every 7 days. THIS IS NO JOKE! The only daily things they do is make the beds and bring new towells. As for vacuuming, wiping down tables, cleaning bugs, scrubbing away mold and cleaning the slimy tub itis only done every 7 days! Oh and if you have any personal belongings on the floor on cleaning day they will not vacuum! Not even using common sense and going around said obstructions! Right before I left the hotel to change to a Navy BOQ I found a bandaide on some fresh linens; A USED BANDAIDE! This place is appaling and I recommened for your health to stay away. Also while I was there the water was shut off twice for repairs. Then it took 2 days before all the red/brown sediment was clear...TWO DAYS WITH NO USEABLE WATER. Enough said, DONT COME HERE EVER!

I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. My wife and I had to have our 2nd child here so we are here for 3 months. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There are roaches everywhere, mold on the ceiling, and big chunks of paint missing from the walls. There is an alarm going off right now in the hallway that has been going since we got here. We requested a baby crib when we made reservations, when we got here and a couple of hours after arriving. Still no crib for my 2 year old to sleep. If you are thinking about staying here on a vacation, don't do it.
