Looking forward to going back every year
By Yorkshire Gal, 2/2/08
One of the most beautiful hotels I have been in. I have stayed in many hotels, in different states and in England, and this is the best. I love the winding staircase, lovely comfortable breakfast lounge. The rooms are excellent, clean, and comfortable.I would give it above a 5 star rating. My husband and I come every year with our church for a Minister's retreat. The food is exellent, the service is great. The view is breath taking. I recommend it highly. We can't wait to return
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/11/08
This inn is breathtaking from the moment you walk in. It is decorated so lovely and the winding staircase is awesome. We have stayed in many hotels and inns and none can even compare to the beauty of this inn. The rooms are furnished with beautiful Amish furniture and they are so clean and spacious. We drive around 900 miles to visit in the Amish country every year and it is so nice to know that when we arrive, we will be greeted by a courteous and helpful staff, as well as clean rooms (which is very important to me). We are looking forward to our return trip this year.

A Wonderful Surprise
By Tiffani, 6/7/07
When I first walked into the Carlisle....I could not believe my eyes. It was beautiful. To be nestled in the middle of nowhere....I was concerned on my drive in, was this going to be a fluke? I could not have been more happier. The landscaping is beautiful, the interior decor is welcoming and the whole experience was a breath of fresh air. Try the Dutch restauraunt next door. Book room facing parking lot. The bakery makes delightful and cheap deserts to take home. A few miles down the road there are a few places to wine taste ( Swiss Cheese and Lace ). Only bad thing....almost everything closes after 5pm and dont go on Sundays.....nothing including the Rest. is open. Already reserved for next year!!!!

LOVE IT! highly recommend
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/25/07
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very helpful and courteous. The rooms are spacious and beautiful with scenic views of the rolling countryside. If are looking for a quiet and relaxing weekend, this is the place to go. Excellent shopping close by. Be sure to check out Breitenbach winery, which is very close as well. And for the BEST icecream - go to the Butterchurn! I have stayed here a few times and always look forward to my next visit!

Cozy, comfortable and breathtaking!
By Duane, 11/27/06
This is the most beautiful place we've ever stayed. At first glace, the outside is gorgeous and as you step into the front doors, the scene is breathtaking. Beautifully decorated and the rooms are very tastefully decorated and so cozy. The staff is wonderful and we will come back time and time again.

Relaxing and Beautiful
By mrsray, 10/27/06
This is one of the most relaxing and beautiful hotels on the inside that I have stayed in. It reminds me of a hotel from days gone by. There is a library with a fireplace to sit and relax, and a old fashioned game room with dozens of sofas and tables and chairs to play board games. Not the noisy electronic games. A grand staircase that is right from gone with the wind. And a pool and jacuzzi that stays open from 6am till midnight. The halls are wide and spacious, everything was very clean and decorated so pretty. If you are gonna spend time in this area check it out.
