We were at the Desert Rose RV Park for one month. We had planned on staying indefinitely as we liked it there. We were told by the manager that she would not renew our month-to-month lease as we did not yet have a trailer that was in her eyes considered to be proper. It is a 2008 cargo trailer that we had modified and had added amenities to use in the interim to live in until we found a regular camper trailer. We were in the process of shopping for one as this incident happened. There were older trailers there that had been there for years. She had her favorites and her pets whom she would do favors for, like allow a resident to dominate the recreation room and leaving puzzles all over the tables for weeks. But as we did not cater to her, we were told to leave. We complained as we wanted to use the recreation room, but of the two tables in the room, both had puzzles on them. We ended up being the bad guys because we disturbed her puzzles. We were not going to rush into buying something that we were not totally happy with just to appease her. Do not stay with this park. The management has too much power and feels she can do whatever she likes whether it is the right thing to do or not. Everyone we befriended at the park could not understand why we were told to leave. They also agreed that there were old trailers there that were not as nice as ours. When they found out what the manager was like, they left also. She changes rules whenever she feels like it. DON'T complain about anything as you will be labeled as a problem child and you will then be on her non pet list. Fernley has other RV parks.
The staff at Desert Rose R V park were very helpful, answered all question I asked and provided me with all the information I need to have a great stay in the Fernley, Nv area. I have never been in a cleaner laundry room, shower room, restroom and reading room. The sites are clean and neat, with enought room to enjoy the outside if you want to. The golf course if close and you are between Fernley, Nv and Fallon Nv. You are close enough to Reno and Lake Tahoe to make a fun trip.
From the great discounts, front office staff (Debbie), security, cleanliness, and on site amenities, this beautiful park has it all! The front office has supplies, propane is on site, and a community room has washers and dryers, HUGE shower and bathroom facilities, even puzzles and books to borrow. This park has been called the Cleanest RV Park in America, and they are not kidding. It is immaculate. This is more than a place to hang your hat-here you are among friends. One of the nicest features of this park is that there is no minimum stay. They even have cable and free wi fi. The staff takes great care of you, and they care about you. Convenient to Fernley's shops and restaurants, yet just enough down the road that you have some privacy. It is also right next to a golf course!!
