Roach Motel

We found a couple of roaches, some crickets. There were ants in the bathroom sink. The sheets smelled dirty and looked used. The door barely closed/locked. When I spoke to the guy in the little shack of a front desk to ask for a refund of our $150, we were denied. It took us 10 minutes from the moment we paid, brought our luggage into the room, checked out the place, brought our luggage out to the car, and walked back to the office. Once we asked for a refund he said if we had come back immediately, "within 5 minutes," he would have refunded our money. But, since we didn't come 5 minutes sooner, he said it wouldn't be fair for them to have to refund us. Worst experience ever. We didn't stay the night and we were still charged. We also asked when the owner would be in and we were told during office hours. Though for the next 2 days the owner/manager was never around during their office hours. Worst experience ever.
Tips: Try going to any hotel instead of calling over the phone. Over the phone every place said they were booked for the weekend, but early the next morning when we walked into a place they seemed to have plenty of rooms. The $140 we paid was MORE THAN WELL worth it, in comparison.
