NEVER AGAIN
By ,
I will never stay here again. We got in to town late, not knowing that there were festivals going on. We were charge a crazy amount of money, only because it was busy and they needed to sell the room, for a room that had beds that made us itch and hot water that smell like sewer. I have a nephew that lives in Oak Harbor and we will be up there alot, but rest assured we will never stay here again. We were taken advantage of. You know the saying "fool me once"!

beautifull and quiet
By ,
Have stayed here numerous times, always to find it beautifull, quiet and clean. While it is true that there are sparse amenities, the kindness of the owner, the beauty of the gardens and the clean rooms more than makes up for this. When I travel it is nice to get away from the "hustle and bustle" of everyday. So if you are looking for a place to get away I would highly recommend staying here. Kudos to the owner and staff!

Great room, absolutely no amenities
By ,
The good. Recently remodeled nice rooms, building and beautiful courtyard. Good treatment by staff. Coffee maker in room. The bad. Mattresses are sunken in. No telephone. No alarm clock, No Internet, Broadcast only television (snowy), No shampoo, Plastic cups but no Styrofoam, so coffee melted the cup (burnt the heck out of my hand too). 8/10 for be/room itself. 2/10 for amenities

Great place for privacy
By ,
I have stayed here many times and it is a simple place for a simple time. No people and little amenities.Enough to stay and come back again But that is good its easy to stay there and the owner is very nice. It is peace full there and you have all you need to stay there. Its clean and the garden i beautiful. I highly recommend it if you just need to get away and get some peace in your life.

LOVELY
By ,
Stayed several nights at this lovely Inn. The grounds were beautiful, the rooms very clean and inviting. The service was excellent and the staff went out of there way to be helpfull. A more gracious host we could not have asked for. I read the reviews of some other patrons and simply cant understand what there problem is, perhaps they put these reviews under the wrong place?

DO NOT STAY HERE
By ,
There are many reasons why NOT to choose this place, most of all the HORRIBLE customer service. Upon checking in we were reprimanded that we should have checked in earlier. We got a room for 2 nights. The next morning we went to a went wedding and took our bags so that we could change into our wedding clothes after helping set up. When we got back to our room late that night our room had been given away and there was a man sleeping in our bed that we had already paid for. We had to find another place that night. When we went back to get refunded, the woman disputed it and then begrugingly credited our account. When I got my credit card bill the next month, I discovered she had credited us and then charged us again! I called to discuss this with her and she is refusing to refund the money. REAL NICE!

Don't go here!
By ,
OK, we had a whole wedding party stay here...10 guys, 7 gals, plus quite a few guests. Not one person would stay here again. As the other reviewer said, there are no amenities, no hairdryer, shampoo, telephone(and cell service was spotty), half the outlets didn't work, their was cleanliness problems, such as the tea kettle growing mold inside it. Guests were asked to wash their own dishes, and we didn't feel like they were checked over before the next guest arrived. There was complaints of cold showers, stinky water, spiders...the list goes on. Not to mention the lady who runs the place was hard to work with and got flustered very easy. They had signs on the wall stating that the premises and its contents had been "vidiotaped" and it made you feel like you were there just to steal the meager offerings that were there. The rooms look nice on first appearance and the back yard is beautiful. The price was way too much. I paid just about $200 per "suite", which was large enough, but the beds weren't comfortable. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Most guests that stayed the first night moved for their second night, to another local motel, The Tyee.

spartan but clean
By ,
I liked the garden/grass area - a nice place to have coffee in the morning. And the room was clean and non-smoking. The rooms don't have enough "stuff" to make it convenient - no shampoo, bath mat, hair dryer, clock radio, or telephone; the TV was an old rabbit ear set without cablevision or a remote. You have to get out of bed to turn off the bedside lights, and both lights have to be on at the same time (unfortunate if your partner wants to sleep and you want to read.)
