Fish Alaska Log Cabin Lodge, Soldotna

These Cabins were great. The owners were very kind, and made you feel at home. They live onsite, and make all the cabins themselves. My kids even loved them. These cabins are accomodating to kids and seniors alike. The cabins have a nice deck with a view of the Kenai River. Inside the cabin was two bunk beds with a full size on bottom, and a twin on top. They come with full kitchen, including stove top, oven, microwave and fridge. Has a spacious bathroom. like many other cabins in this area of alaska the water is well water, so my kids disliked the smell. On the outside of the cabin doors when you arrive is a personalized greeting. in between the cabins is a trail leading down to the fire pit and to the river. At the firepit there is lawn chairs, and even a grill to cook your catch of the day! Now to the best part, The River! by the river is a dock, and a elevated platform to fish off of. It has a cleaning & filleting station, and a scale and a place to hold your catches. the owners even supplied life jackets, nets, and a billy club. Between me and the kids we caught 8 good size salmon in half a day. These cabins are located within 3 min of soldotna. And the price for what you get is great. JUst remember to bring one thing...Bug spray!!!
