Sun Royse Inn, Royse City

My husband and I stay here every two weeks,we drive a big truck,rooms are very large,clean,tv works great with the premium channels,wifi always works,the staff and owners are amazing people we always get a great deal,yes rooms are a little outdated but really does that matter,we have stayed in 5star before and had my jewelry stolen,and people weren't as nice! If you want affordable,clean this is your place!

There is only one reason why anyone should ever stay at this motel, and that is if you absolutely possitively can not drive another 15 miles either direction on I30 without falling asleep at the wheel. My husband and I live in Royse City, and because of a plumbing issue we decided to spend the night at this motel. Bad decision! The TV did not work, the air conditioner did not work, the room was a non-smoking room with cigarette burns all over the bathroom sink. The toilet sat crooked on the floor. The tissue was situated where it was behind the toilet tank and very hard to get out. I killed one small roach. The tub had chips out of the enamel, the ceiling had major problems and looked like it would fall in any minute. The towels are big enough for a Barbie doll, (maybe) oh yeah and one of them said Hampton Inn on it! The pillows on the bed were horrible, and the bed was uncomfortable. The traffic on I30 is so close and very loud! (and we had a fan and still couldn't drown the noise!) They tried to get a $5 key deposit in cash which I did not have, so they "let" me slide, but the next morning when I went to return the key, there was noone in the office and a sign that said drop yur key and have a nice day. Good thing I didn't give $5 for that key or I would have been mad trying to wait on someone to return my deposit. Only one good thing with staying here---and that is that now I know that when I have family or friends coming to the area, I will tell them to definately not stay at this hole. By the way, they should be about a $30 a night motel not the $55 they charge!!

IF THEY DID NOT SHARE PASSWORD WITH YOU HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO WRITE THE REVIEW THAT YOU WROTE WITHOUT WIFI YOU CLAIM YOU ARE IN ROOM 103 I KNOW THERE ARE NO OPEN NETWORKS NEARBY THAT YOU CAN USE WHICH MEANS A PASSWORD WAS GIVEN I STAY AT THIS HOTEL EVERY OTHER WEEK WHEN I GO FROM TEXARKANA TO DALLAS AND THE TVS WORK FINE ROOMS ARE CLEAN AND WIFI WORKS GREAT ALSO AND THEY WILL GIVE YOU PASSWORD IF YOU ASK FOR IT AND ALSO THE UTILITIES DO WORK.

I came into town for a funeral and stayed here for three nights the rooms are nice sized, the wifi works great rates are very reasonable they have great channels like HBO and CINEMAX i will stay again and will recommend to others also

I am currently checked into room 103 at this hotel. While the room is a decent size, and relatively clean it is lacking in a few amenities. The television barely works. half of the channels don't come in, or are so fuzzy you can barely see them. Others have a decent picture, but no sound. Their billboard boasts both HBO and Cinemax, but I've yet to find Cinemax on the television. Wifi...nope. The office has it, and if you have a PC with a built in wifi card the office signal will show up, but it is password protected and they won't share the password so you (a guest) can get online. After going to the office to complain about the television I was repeatedly told by the person working that they live here and their cable doesn't work either. Apparently that was supposed to make everything okay. All this was very shortly after I checked in and a refund was refused and they would not let me change rooms to one where the utilities worked. I travel for a living and I have to say that this is probably the worst hotel experience I have had. I have stayed at hotels that were half the cost of this one ($42.00 after tax) where at least the television worked, and I didn't have to use my Sprint mobile broadband card to get online. If I could give this place less than one star I would, and, everybody I know that travels for a living will be told to avoid this place.
