Inexpensive alternative to sleeping at rest stops
I found the Camelot Inn to be an excellent value, but I was traveling by myself and would have slept at a rest stop had the weather been warmer. Less than $30 after taxes. No in room internet, nothing more than coffee in the room or in lobby for breakfast, no frills but for the price you couldn't ask for much better. I found it interesting that although the hotel offered interior hallways, the second floor rooms have outside balconies, and the first floor rooms have a door that leads to the parking lot. The place looks to have at one time been an interesting piece of Americana on the side of the highway, I add this because despite its run down condition, the exterior still holds back to the days when themed hotels were to be found on your journeys. Worth a look for a traveling businessperson paying their own expenses, couples that don't need much other than each other, and students traveling. I don't think I can recommend it for families.

DUMP!!!!!
By Terri M, 1/1/08
We stayed here on our way back from Colorado. This hotel was the worst I have ever stayed in. The floors were dirty and stained. The toliet was sticky and dirty. Beds were comfortable and clean but the noise was unreal. Doors were being slammed all night and you couldn't access your door from the outside. We put a chair in front of the door that connects 2 rooms b/c someone was trying to open the door. Please don't stay at this motel!!!! Go somewhere else!!!!
