Once again we had a very pleasant stay here. My husband & I, along with our son arrived and was greeted by Darlene. She came out to our vehicle to visit with our puppy and was very nice to him, too. Although he wasn't staying with us, he just came for a few hours, but she welcomed him there too. She has always been very nice to us. We abide by the rules and always clean up after ourselves. We always check in with a positive attitude and listen to what she has to say. We've camped here several times and have always had a great experience. I can't wait to go back. Last Fall we were there for three weekends in a row and loved it. We always just keep to ourselves and she never bothers us. Sure she comes by from time to time, but that's fine with us. I know if we need something she'll do her best to help us. Everybody has bad days from time to time, and maybe some people just catch her when she's having one. We haven't yet. thanks Ron & Darlene for allowing us to enjoy our time spent with you all. Beautiful place and wonderful memories for our family. Have a blessed day!
We couldn't even attempt to stay here, even though we wanted to. We simply wanted some info about the campground, but the front desk was so rude and inconsiderate we left. It is a shame too because I love the location. I'll never go back there simply because of poor customer service. So sad.
We had a great time as always. The grounds and bathrooms are always kept clean.Very quiet a great place to relax.Looking forward to our next visit in October,,,,,,,,,,,,, Thanks to Ron & Darlene,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,David & Edna Greer
LOVED TOM AND HIS WIFE THEY HAVE RUINED THIS CAMPGROUND WE STAYED 5 TIMES EVERY YEAR FOR 20 YEARS NOW LOST AND HAVE TO FIND OTHER PLACES TO SPEND OUR MONEY SO SAD PLEASE CHANGE THE MANAGEMENT TOM WOULD ROLL OVER IN HIS GRAVE IF HE KNEW HOW HIS AND KAYS CUSTOMERS ARE BEING TREATED
We love this campground. We have been coming here for over 15 years. The location is fabulous. Recently, a lot of our friends have been coming with us and they all have a great time. I think the management gets a bad rap. They are running a business and want to make sure that everyone is safe. There are many children at the campground and the management have a responsibility to make sure that things are run in a proper way. Follow the rules of the campground and you will find the management more than willing to help you.
We stayed at Greenbrier from Thursday Oct 7, til Sunday Oct 10, 2010.. This is a great place to camp at.. Darlene is very nice and friendly takes you to your place and shows you everything.. We had a great time there and the water running around the camp makes it very nice and cozy.. We would come back in a heartbeat.. Maybe next year.. It is quiet and very very clean...
Thanks again Darlene for the nice visit.
I visit Greenbrier Island Campground in July for 2 weeks, and October for 3 weeks every year. I love the place. The campsites are beautiful, and the grounds are clean and very well kept. The owners live on site, and are available 24/7 for any problems. They do not allow drinking and loud partying. Strangers not registered are not allowed in. Dogs are not allowed to run free or poop at the campsites. There is a large field just outside the entrance for that purpose. If anyone thinks that camping should be loud and rowdy, this is not the place for you. It is great for kids, with swimming and tubing, and a large field for games. There are trees everywhere, and the the river is beautiful.
Well it's me again just wanted to tell everyone how much we enjoyed our last visit here.I keep reading the reviews that people put on here. I just don't understand why anyone has a problem with the people that run it. They have always been super nice to me and my family.Sure they have rules to go by and think god they do. I don't have to worry about some outsider coming in and steeling everything we have. They rules they have are for your protection and enjoyment as well as mine. I guess if you don't want to obey the rules you don't need to be there anyway Thanks Ron and Darlene keep up the good work hope to see you both soon,,,,,,David Greer
RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!
I've read past reviews and every word was correct. When is management, or better yet owner, going to come to terms that they are not in the North anymore. And that is a bad excuse anyway. WAKE UP! Drop the word YOU from your vocabulary and replace it with Please. Step back a pace or two and get out of my face. And smile.
The location is wonderful but...not worth the hassle or the verbal abuse my husband and I received when we arrived and during are stay. We left 2 days early to salvage what was left of our vacation.
I recommend any other campground. It has to be better.
