Budget Inn, Jefferson City

What a dump! We were in town for a dog show and the club had worked out a deal to allow dogs to stay. We were to tell them when we booked that we were with the show. I did that. When I got there to check in they tell me it's an extra $5 per dog per night. After arguing that this was not quoted to me when I booked the room and that I'd just go to Motel 6, she took the charge off. Then I got in my room that was "refreshed" and I had no idea why they were worried about dogs being in there. Thankfully the floors were new but the paint was peeling off the walls and it smelled. I later went into a friend's room and her room had not been refreshed and it was abosolutely disgusting. Funny they wanted to charge extra for the dogs, if my dogs had made a mess it would not be noticeable as the rooms were that horrible. I'll never stay there again.

I stayed at this place earlier thing month, July 11. The motel is in good condition for it being older then the ones around it. The people operating it are pleasant and friendly. The rates were reasonable. It was a good experience over all.
