o anyone that wants a nice beach to go to, hot shower's, things to do for your kids and a relaxing time than this place is NOT for you. This place was rude to the elderly, was unhelpful to our family with children, and most of all was way way over priced.
lets start with the showers. NO hot water ever not day nor night. and my husband told me i had to see the mens showers or i would never believe it ( two shower heads in one stall) one so short it hit my chest lol. the restrooms were far from clean and by this I mean backed up.
Kid friendly I say not. the lake was very unclean with broke down toys everywhere. I had to keep taking toys away from the kids because i was afraid they would get hurt ( what a mess that was) Then there was the big slide that all the kids just couldnt wait to get on. ( guess what its broken with no insurance) now just try to tell your children that one.
The owners well, well, well they have lots of reasons for why things are the way they are but none of them really made me or my children feel better. O i forgot to say when you pull into the campground you see nothing but broke down old equipment, old tables, and just lots of junk witch was fun keeping the children away from.
Now onto the best par,t for some stupid reason ( we loved the people) I decided to leave my camper their for the season $1200 I paid and guess what the owners packed up and left in the middle of the night. got to love this place right? then a week later sent a letter to the campground saying that the power would be shut off in three weeks. Just when I thought i had it bad an elderly couple who spends their summers in Ohio at Meadow lakes came out upset because they had little money and the husband was on oxygen. What a mess STAY AWAY. STAY FAR FAR AWAY. by the way the campers that made me want to stay for the season all pulled together to help take care of the elderly couple's. Thank god for true campers
The owners Mike and Kay are the most dishonest people I have ever met. In a time when life is hard we go back to nature and try to enjoy and people like the Cayhills take your hard earned dollar and run . Carol
