Golden Gables Inn, North Conway

My husband and I are here now and are still amazed at how clean and quiet it is here. We are located near the train tracks which gave me second thoughts as I entered our double queen deluxe room. Have not heard any trains! Also room is very comfrtable (as are the beds) and roomy. The bathroom is immaculate and the shower curtain clean. No mold on tub! This is our second stay here and we will continue to come only here as long as the high standards are kept. Much praise for the owners of this establishment!

We've been coming to the Golden Gables since 1998. We go every holiday from May to October. The room is always clean, the ground are well kept and Jan is a super person. It's close to just about everything there. Gerry and Vicki from RI.

Personal service, attentiveness, extreme cleanliness of rooms and grounds, price, location, and provision of ref & micro - helps during this economy. The only suggested improvements - USAToday daily newspaper as a complimentary item, AND, complimentary continental breakfast. It costs a little to Jan Filip (owner), but will attract more customers and take away from next door "big hotels". Jan, just add another $5 or $7.50, and convert one of the rooms to a breakfast nookl

We have a camp in Ossipee that is not open until May 1, so when we have work to do or need to bring something up, we do that and come here to the Golden Gables Inn to stay. So clean and commfortable and affordable. Great location. We will always stay here when we are in North Conway.

We loved the amenities and comfort of the room. We stayed in a different hotel the night before. No comparison. This would be the only place to stay when we visit the White Mtns.

Wonderful place to stay. Clean and decorated nicely. Had to leave early due to emergency. Managment was wonderful and refunded night's stay. We can not wait to go back stay again. Highly recommend!!!!!

My daughter and I stay here every year for our summer vacation. It is clean and the location is great. The price is right for our budget. There's no question we will be back again this summer!

We love staying here. The hotel takes pride in the upkeep of their rooms and their pool area.It is located right by the outlets. When our children were attending camps in the New Hampshire area we found this hotel to be close by when we were dropping them off and needed to take a few days for my husband and I to stay. Now they are counselors at the camps we like to go up and visit them, we still choose the Golden Gables.The front desk is always helpful for places to eat or attractions to visit. A win, win place to stay!!!

We stayed at Golden Gables in spring 2004, before the new addition was built and enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night before returning to the UK. We vowed to come back, which we did in February 2006, in the new addition, with our son and his fiancee. Golden Gables surpassed all our expectations, again, and we have recommended it to everyone we know, although not many are planning trips to NH from the UK. It was well worth the trip, except that there wasn't much snow about. The scenery is magnificent, the welcome is warm and the accommodation represents excellent value. Why stay at the Grand Hotel when Golden Gables is so much quieter and cosy? We hope to be back again soon.

We stayed in the "NEW" section last year while visiting storyland. And we will be staying again this year. Very clean and quiet. Except the sight seeing train that runs next to the new section. But only during the day when we were out. A nice location, near restaurants, shopping, gas, everything you would need for a short trip (3-4 days )And a nice country drive to storyland, Santas village, or six gun city.
