Aegean Motel, Hampton

We just got back from a two night stay and I have to say I was very pleased. This is not a five star resort, but we couldn't afford to stay at one. The room was very clean, and comfortable. The kitchenette had everything you could ask for too! The pool was clean, although we didn't use it. The beach is right across the street- no walking at all. Parking (at least most of it) is two buildings down, but we didn't use the car much so it wasn't a big deal for us. They don't supply paper towels for the kitchen- so if you are going I would bring your own paper products if you use them. There is no blow dryer or ironing board, etc- but we never needed that. The motel was at full capacity on our last night and we never heard a peep from anyone- and we were on the first floor. If you are looking for a very clean, no frills, budget friendly place to stay- this is it. We enoyed our stay a lot and will be back again!!

Old yet very clean hotel. Great location, right across the street from a nice, sandy beach and about 4 blocks away from the boardwalk scene. Very quiet at night. Good for families with kids who need to lug all that stuff to the beach. I didn't realize it would not have some of the regular hotel amenities like an iron and hair dryer. The bathroom and especially the shower were tiny. Small TV but very well equipped kitchenette. A major drawback is the parking. The hotel rents a lot a block away. You can pull into the hotel lot to unpack but then need to back out onto the very busy Ocean Ave. Other than the parking, not a bad deal for the price.
