get what you pay for.

Rented unit 5A, large two bedroom with kitchen and pullout sofa which sleeps six. Beware that this is an older motel as many are in Old Orchard but overall the room was clean to our liking. The room was not that large as advertised and was very cramped with four adults, two children and one infant. Fridge is very small and old, as well as the stove. The train tracks within 40 feet of the unit were also very frustrating. You will be shaken awake 3 to 4 times a night as the train approaches the intersection and the whistle blows.
Parking is also a major problem. They only allow one vehicle per room but with six people coming from three different directions, we had three cars and the owners gave me a hard time about parking the two extra vehicles which I though was very unreasonable. They also gave me a hassle about a visitor my niece had with her. Owner did not believe that this individual was leaving so wanted to give us a larger room and charge more money. I finally convinced him that the young man would be leaving but sure enough the owner came over to our place at 9pm to check and see if he was still there. Our visitor left before 11pm, per the owners request, but upon checkout a credit card receipt was handed to me in the amount of $50 because he was sure that the individual did not leave. Im on vacation, I paid for the room and dont need to be hassled and called a liar directly to my face. After extensive arguing about the situation the fee was returned, but I sincerely did not need that unprofessional management during my stay in Old Orchard.
Needless to say, neither I nor my family will revisit the Biarritz. Recommendation is to pay a little extra if possible and stay directly on the beach where the units seem to be better maintained and are away from the train.
