We stayed at Hidden acres campgound a couple weeks ago for 4 nights. We had a campsite right on the Quinebaug river. The weather was perfect. Sunny and bright during the day and cool at night for the campfire. We even did a little tubing which was fun. camping by the river is a great place to pass the time, interesting birds, fishing and swimming and just relaxing watching the river go up and down. Its amazing how its level changes from hour to hour. ALWAYS things to do at the campground, sport games always going on and announced on there intercom so you know when they start, hayrides for the kids and mom and Dad to, craft shop with ceramics to paint and a nice lady to help you , snack shop with delicious dollar ice cream cones and food, animals peacocks to visit, spotless swimmimg pool to swim in if you dont like the river, clean restrooms and very friendly faces all over the campground to talk to. Foxwoods and the casinos are near by and misquamicut beach a short drive away. Definately check this campground out it will be worth your while. a Little tricky to find but once you go there you will remember how to get back. Also visitors are always welcome for a small fee to visit. Stop by soon the owners and workers are very nice people always glad to help you. Happy Camping........
