Don't be put off by the phone mannerisms. Remember this is 'Joisey! Mgmt is helpful and the guards/attendants are also able to help with directions. But, it is an RV location: park on gravel, drive/walk on asphalt; combo lock to clean toilets and showers. They are upgrading the miserable WiFi. Hopefully they will update their local instructions. Hudson-Bergen Light rail (new), connecting to PATH, is a block away. NYWaterway to Pier 11 is at the park. A number of great restaurants from 1 to 5 blocks away (maybe no need to drive). Quite a few restaurants deliver to your site. A corner store is 2 blocks away. Nearest beer is actually a Biergarten, 2.5 blocks away. Light Rail ($2) goes to PATH and Newport Mall and more restaurants (&Macys, Kohls, JCP, Sears, etc). All types of ethnic restaurants about 4 blocks away. I recommend it

We stayed in the RV Park. Our reservation which we made months in advance was not recorded correctly. We ended up staying in the boat storage area the first night and had to go buy an expensive extension cord to be able to run our air. We then moved into a site which was much too small for a large rig. The bathrooms were filthy and plumbing couldn't even handle toilet tissue - a bucket was provided for this. The customer service was basically non existent. We had to pay the same even though we didn't get what we expected the first night. The only thing this park has going for it is the location near NYC.

This place is great for the camper that wants to just have a place to sleep unless you're planning on staying in your RV a lot. We stayed here August of 2006. Four of us - it was great - we were gone all day long into the city and was only here to sleep. Felt secure and staff was VERY helpful. Place was pretty clean - for a campground. Plan on staying there again at the end of this month! NH camper!!
