Kingtown Beach Lakeside Cottage and Yurt Rentals, Trumansburg

What a GREAT find!! We rented the lakehouse and the Yurts. The decorating was wonderful. The Yurts are very beautiful and even had air-conditioning. All we needed to bring was food, drink and charcoal. We rented the lake house, bunkhouse (the kids loved the bunkhouse and it gave them a "hangout") . The decorating was wonderful. The places we rented were very clean and the beds were very comfy. The kitchens and bathrooms were fully stocked, even had new toothbrushes, lotion, shampoo, etc, they even have their own handmade soap. The lake house was a perfect place for us all to get together and swim, go boating and have barbecues'. The road down to the lake house was great for loading and unloading, although you do need a 4x4 car or SUV, but it takes you right down to the front door of the lake house. We will definitely book another week at Kingtown, but we want to rent the whole place for my mothers 90th birthday this coming summer. I want to add that the pictures we took of all our friends and kids in the water and on the dock fishing look like something out of the past.

The water pressure was perfectly fine. We also drank the tap water with no repurcussions whatsoever. The cabin was neat, clean and bug free. Nicely decorated and furnished. The grounds were well kept and the other renters we ran into were very pleasant. Gregory and Lisa were great hosts. We can't wait for October 2009 to get here as we will be back!!! RB

There was no potable water. Many in our party became violently ill.Water issues? There were millipedes crawling all over the carpets We paid a lot of money to stay in this place and do not feel it delivered. Although the house sleeps many guests, the water system cannot handle them. I think the health department should do some water testing I would never come back or recommend it to friends

We rented the Lakeside House and 2 of the Cottages. Those who were staying in the cottages moved out after 1 night...odor in the cottages (maybe gas), bad beds, and little hot water. The house also had water problems...little pressure, and for half of the week, the water was not potable. 7 of us had intestinal problems during the week...maybe the water? There was 1 air conditioner on the upper floor or the house, but its location made it nearly impossible to cool the place. The lower floor had no AC. The lower floor had millipedes all over the place..pretty gross. There were many steps from the parking area to the house, making moving in and out a challenge. This is definitely not the place for anyone with a handicap. The price was quite high considering the above issues. Needless to say, we would not return.

We had a family reunion at Kingtown Beach Lakeside Cottages and we already booked it again for next year. We had 52 of our closest relatives with us, but since the cottages are separate from the lakehouse we could all "separate" when we had had enough...FUN! The owners, Lisa and Gregory are really fun, helped us when we needed information or help in anyway. They even lent us their ATV! Thanks for the great time, Trudie
