As a kid my parents would go there every summer for a weekend and I always said that I would bring my family there when I had one; and I did!! Every summer my daughter and I would spend a week there swimming in the lake and relaxing by campfire at night. Those were the best times we ever had. Would love to be able to do those things again with my grandchildren. Please bring back the lake or a pool and you'll see us on a regular basis. Would rather not camp there then have to go somewhere else to go swimming.
I would only revisit Shenandoah Acres Resort if the lake were to reopen for swimming like the Blacks had it. I grew up with going there every summer and when I had my own children I would take them and rent a cottage on the beach. I would love to have that again!!!
I loved the sites because they are pretty much all wooded and quiet. Clean and natural settings make the campground very relaxing. The manager and staff are hard working people who make sure you have a great time. They are working on updating the property and adding new amenities for the next camping season, so we will DEFINITELY be back. They are VERY family oriented and pay attention to the kids. Reasonably priced, nice setting, great folks, new things to come in the future - what else could you ask for?
quiet and they are always checking to make sure you are ok.. no loud partys and not a lot of visible drinking ..we rode our bikes, talk to neighbors and loved camping at Shenandoah Acres ..Mike was very helpful..
try this place you will love it ..come on out and give these guys a chance to bring this place BACK....
