Duke's Creek Cabins, Helen

it is so dirty here WE will not ever go back. all you smelt was mold and smoke coming from the dirty nasty bars and pubs lining the streets. it was musky smelling with flies all over the fudge shop. the bathrooms looked like they were there when the town was founded, so do the hotels..... getting back to the fudge it looks like there was flies embedded in the chocolate peanutbutter (YUMMY!). WE NOTICED THIS IN EVERY SHOP WE WALKED IN. after deciding not to stay for more then 2 dreadful hours we packed up (wise choice!) and left disappointed and sick! this time my kids cried to leave not stay (my husband did to) we would of had more fun at a funeral,(ALTHOUGH IT SMELLED LIKE ONE THERE). IM NOT EVEN SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT THE HOTEL YOU GET THE PICTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to begin by telling everyone these cabins have been completely renovated. the new website is dukescreekcabinrentals.com. it would be our pleasure to help everyone with whatever they need during their stay.

We opened the door all we could smell was the mold. It was extremely strong. there is mold growing on the bathroom cabinet, wall and shower curtain. There was a layer of green mold on the dressers. We had to wipe things down just to be able to use them. And we had to go buy candles to burn to try to mask the smell. We could not open the windows to get any fresh air because inside the windows there is wasp nests. The beds smelled musty. We did not sleep well at all on our vacation. Only one wall heater on first floor. Will not stay in the cabins again

Was a bit skeptical at first, but man did they deliver. Reasonably priced,great location,quiet atmosphere.This place made our family getaway the best we've had in years..... Thanks Duke Creek Cabins.. Also a quick mention of the people at Chatahoochie Stables, this ride was one of most relaxed I've had and they made it easy for the first timers we had too, it has been a week and my daughter still talks about her ride daily, go there and be prepared for a great experience.

This is a little off the beaten path, in fact it's 8/10 of a mile off the main road, and That is what I like. No road noise, just the trees and critters. Some of the Best Fishing I've had for Trout is a short walk outside your Cabin. Smithgall woods is bordering the property and you can Fish there by reservation only and it's FREE! Five minutes to dowtown Helen, and 10 minutes to Cleveland. If you Fish, Hike and Motorcycle like we do, this is the best place i've been in a long time, in fact we come to Helen every Spring, for Five years now, and Dukes Creek is the place to go.

We had the greatest time. Its so cute and very private. We are planning another trip soon. My husbadn fished in the creek that runs through the mountain and the kids played in the shallow water. The people that lives near the cabins were so friendly they even asked us over for a BBQ. We fell in love.
