nice and modern guesthouse but not enough service
We stayed at the 3rd street cafe for 2 nights. It was a very nice guesthouse, with rooms filled with edgy modern interiors. Even though there was no view from our room, it was very clean and cozy so we couldnt complain more. They provide a laundry service of 55 baht per kilo and the sheets are changed even we did not request to. There was also free internet access so it was easy to checked everything. The only thing that bother us is that since it was more of a guesthouse than a hotel, we feel that there was not enough service. Since we were mostly on a full day tour, we had to leave the hotel very early in the morning. However, we found that at 8 am there was nobody and the lights in the lobby was still off. Later when we asked for breakfast they said that there was nobody to cook at such time. At check out time, i asked if they could call some taxi for us and they said no and told us that we had to bring our baggages to the main road and waived for a taxi ourselves. Those are pretty much our turning point. But the rest is ok, only to me Kata is a little bit too quiet and so does the guesthouse.
