Trebor Mansion's origins are shrouded in mystery. Built in 1830 and once owned by a United States Senator,it was widely held by the locals to be "haunted", and didn't even have electricity and plumbing in the main structure until 1976. The original artwork, Moses Eaton stencils and stained glass windows were preserved, and it is still crowned by it's original slate roof. The guests have the run of the Inn---a 5000 square foot structure which is private from the owners quarters---with a verandah, a wrap-around porch, and four balconies. Artwork, books and eclectic furnishings can be found in every room. We try to treat our guests to privacy, giving them as much space as they desire. The atmosphere is informal.
