Relaxing!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/21/12
My husband and I celebrated our 12th anniversary at Carolina Moon Cabins. I could not have asked for a better place. It was dog friendly so we could bring our four legged family member too. We werer very impressed by how clean everything was. Upon arrival there were cookies on the counter and even treats for our pup! Never once were we bothered by any other cabin renters. We could not even see another cabin from where we were. The linens on the bed were heavenly along with the back porch with the hot tub right out our bedrooms french doors. Wonderful jetted tub in master bath. The basement had a pool table and plenty of other options for entertainment. We just couldnt have asked for anything more. The owners were tremendously friendly and helpful, never once did they come knocking on the door or snooping around. After the very easy process of making our reservations over the phone they let us know they were available if needed but did not once bother us. Great people, great rental.......We will go back!

Just OK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/16/10
In many ways, the cabin was nice enough. Well appointed, etc. However, re: previous posters, there was NOT the privacy we expected. I had phoned and spoken to Alana before booking and was assured that each cabin was totally private. Sorry, but this is simply not so (and you don't need to notify NASA of my great vision). The first cabin we checked into had virtually no view at all. It was the kind of place that if you went outside and hung over the deck and looked around the corner you'd see a bit of mountain. They did move us and the view was better, but honestly, we've had much better mountain views at other places. Also the hot tub cover was terribly heavy, it took two adults using all of our strength to move it off the hot tub and we were told, oh sorry, it's waterlogged but we haven't replaced it yet. Also though we reported it, the hot tub didn't get very hot on day one and got cooler each day we were there. It wasn't awful but we wouldn't go back. Too many other choices

Exceeded Expectations
By Renee Powell, 8/29/09
Private yet close enough to area attractions. Clean, comfortable and well maintained. Stocked with everything you could need, except for food. (unless you count the homemade cookies waiting for you upon your arrival) Spa like in a cabin retreat setting. Clean lines and soothing colors. Prefect romantic getaway, but would be wonderful for a family as well. Bob and Alana thought of everything when they fitted the lower level with games, telescope, pool table, and a sectional sofa for viewing a nice collection of Videos. Would keep the kids busy while the adults relaxed in the Hot Tub under the stars. The area has numerous attractions to entertain you that are all within a short drive. Biltmore is 40 min away, Chimney Rock and Bat Cave a short drive down Hwy 64. Blue Ridge Parkway 30 minutes (plus your drive on the parkway), Transylvania County which is Home of the Waterfalls is less than 30 min. Quaint towns of Hendersonville, Flat Rock and Brevard are wonderful. You will be surrounded by apple orchards that have pick your own options. There is hiking, canoeing, rafting, horseback riding and tours in Ashville available and close enough to make a day of it and still be back in time to relax. I think Cherokee is close enough for a day trip, but we ran out of days to do things. Although it is private and you feel like you are in your own world...there are modern conviences just 15 min. away. which makes it easy to run out if you need something. We will definately return.

That lady must be crazy!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/2/09
We have stayed at these cabins 4 times and we think it just gets better and better. We (my husband, my self, and our two teenagers) have stayed in each of the four cabins and they all have lovely views. The cabins are on over 2 acres each so if you can see from one to the other, you should let NASA know of your extraordinary eyesight. The cabins are bright and cheerful and most of all immaculate. We have stayed in some "dumps" in our time and we know the difference. When I questioned the owner about these unhappy people she said she offered them 3 free nights to compensate for the unhappiness. I think that is a pretty good deal. Oh, by the way, I am not related nor a friend of the owners. However, I would like to think of my self as becoming a friend. They are the nicest people imaginable. Don't pay any attention to that mean lady and go see for your self. Pat Mosher, Palm Springs, CA

not as it seems
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/18/08
The Owners totally misrepresented the cabins as having a mountain view and privacy. None of which were true. The cabin we were in was very close to the adjoining cabin we could see in. There was no mountain view. The cabin was not available when promised and we had a car full of groceries. We checked out as soon as we could find another place. I would not recommend this place. To drive so far out of the way and have no view for us was a waste of time.
