1 reviews for Lake Winfield Scott Campground, Blairsville
Camping Quite area
By KellieB, 09/24/06
It is one of your better campgrounds in North GA. WE stayed mid July and it wa snot crowded at all. We stayed just 2 nights during the week. Fishing is okay. Need a boat to go out on this low lake no motors allowed. There is a hiking trail that goes up to the AT we want to try next time. Small gas station store in Suches. Can get a few to things to eat. WE wasted time on goose chase to coopers creek near the lake...... north of campground there are I think 2 places to go to hike before Vogel state park. This Campground is near the Blood Mountain area or touches Blood Mountain. Does have showers but you have to be a camper to use. If guest Host catches you using camping tables to eat or bath house you will get written up etc. Woody Gap is not far to go to too. GREAT VIEWS .....
