We have stayed some wonderful bed and breakfasts in Hawaii. This one was on the ocean and advertised good food, so we thought great. The place was real moldy and service poor. Old food, older than a year placed in rental refridgerator. Dishes were not washed well and not put through dishwasher. Part of ceiling was falling down in bathroom. Missing blinds so no privacy, and someone on staff walked into our hallway while we were undressing. We would have left after the first night, but she locked us into the whole week by not giving a refund of unused portion. Other guests there over the course of the week were not happy with the "gourmet breakfasts". Not what you would call great food, but what we eat at home. Not nice hostest, did not go out of way to accomadate when requested. Hot tub was real dirty with low water, swimming pool was too low of water to swim. Both leaked. Guest fell into real small lilly pond in back because path poorly lighted, it went in real deap could have broken leg. NO apologuies wer given, when we were with guest and they mentioned it, nor correction made the rest of the week. Water catchemnt source questionable quality, becasue as they described maintan=inance was inadequate and didn't want you to drink their bottled water that they were required to have. Took a long time to ever get that bottled water if ever. I am not being cycnical, just realistic about this place. Talked to an employee who verified how things ran there.
