Lived there in 2005. Yes, the place is a dump. The apartment stunk. The furniture was old and smelly. What would you expect for the price? Lots of recent parolees, women wearing sweats, kids crying in Spanish. BUT … The place is actually safer than some “nicer” apartments. Security is always there. With a gun! Parking is plenty. I had no break ins. Everything in the apartment worked. If it did not, they quickly fixed it. Yes, it sometimes takes several requests to have things done. But this was no worse than at any other place I lived at. The office people were fine. Actually quite helpful. Nothing can beat the convenience of weekly pay. Location is perfect: close to the loop and I-17. The mall is right behind. Overall, I recommend this place (Unless, of course, you have money and can afford a gated community. I do not). People, stop complaining! You get a pretty good deal for you money!
