Value Place Madison, Madison

I was on a business trip & needed a short term place to stay. I choose the Value Place (Madison,AL) due to the location and the many resturants,walmart and places of every convenience that you often frequent. Just before checkin i called to check availability and rates the Manager that i spoke with was very professional & nice. I had requested a non-smoking room and she said that she would make the reservation and give me a non-smoking room. Upon checkin the hotel was very clean inside and outside grounds as well. When i opened the door to my room i was very impressed and pleased on how good the room smelled and how clean the room was. Anytime i needed anything the housekeeping staff have always meet and supplied whatever i needed. The laundry room was always cleaned daily. I am very pleased with the whole staff here it's was like a home away from home. I would difinitely stay again and would recommend this Value Place to my friends & family. THIS PLACE IS A DUMP, i DONT KNOW WHO OWNS THIS PLACE BUT THEY SHOULD SERIOUSLY RETHINK THERE STAFF AND HOW THEY OPERATE, THEY ONLY CLEAN THE ROOMS EVERY TWO WEEKS AND YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR INTERNET AND A $100 DEPOSIT, THE MANAGER WAS SO RUDE THAT MY 7 YEAR OLD ASKED ME WHEN WE LEFT THE OFFICE WHY SHE WAS SO MEAN AND WHY SHE WAS MAD AT ME, NEEDLESS TO SAY THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT, POLICE DEPARTMENT AND IMMAGRATION SHOULD SERIOUSLY TAKE A LOOK AT THIS PLACE.

The manager was so rude upon my check in, and when I went to unlod my luggage the men hanging around all over the property would not stop harassing me, there were roaches all over the room and it there was hair all over the bathroom and bed it is an absolutely disgusting hotel with awful service from all the staff all the way up tho the manager.

Part of town is dicey, very industrial and near airport. Very clean though and friendly onsite managers. I wouldn't feel comfortable having a family stay here, but maybe best for male travelers due to locale. Very dorm like.

Cheap is the only way to describe this place. You have so many hidden charges (local calls are not free), it's better to spend a little more at a classier place. Also so many construction workers staying there made me feel uncomfortable. Not a nice place for a lady like me.
