Great Place - Love It

Don't believe a word of the 1st review. Most, if not all, B&B's in europe are small, narrow winding stairways & no elevator. That reviewer is not an expereienced traveler. I have stayed at this hotel many, many times while doing business in Le Havre. Very clean, staff very nice & welcoming. Breakfasts perfect. Close to the basin. On 1 occassion I forgot to make reservations & they found another place in Honfleur (at a vacant friends rental house for the 2 nites). Also, stayed there while vacationing with friends for the weekend. I love it & can't wait to return. My last stay was May 2008 but looking to return soon. I highly recommend this hotel.

For any one concerned about claustrophobia ( the beds and room are smaller than a burial place), vertigo ( no one tells you that your room is on the third floor without a lift through winding, narrow stairs - people with suitcases beware), sanitation ( old paint is not the only thing peeling off in the creep-in cubicle called bath) and darkness ( it was probably curfew when we stayed), this place which we now call 'Hotel des Arnaques' is for the first and only time gullible clients. This is a photoshop scam and is no way worth the price it charges. French tourist authorities should degrade this hotel.
