Cancelled Prepaid Confirmed Reservation
By ,
We had a prepaid reservation at Blue Water Resort confirmed by email. While airborne in route to Nassau, we received an email cancelling our reservation. There was no offer to assist us finding other accommodations. We arrived in Nassau with no place to stay.

Great people and great stay
By ,
The Blue Water Resort was the most down to earth experience I had in the Bahamas. I would never stay at another place. Da sand bar is the best place and greatest people running it there, they are all one family. I had such a great experience there just because of the people. If you are looking for a good time, without all the tourism and an authentic vacation, stay here. The food at the bar is great, and moms will fix you a great meal. Will be back soon!! The rooms are fine, stayed at a lot of places while in Nassau, mostly overpriced hotels, here is more of a home feel, with townhouse units, stayed at over 3 different units and never had a problem with bugs or other problems, maybe all the people complaining shoud stay at Atlantis.

The Best Place to Stay!
By ,
This was my first time vacationing in the Bahamas. I reveiwed every hotel around. There is NO PERFECT hotel or resort at the Bahamas, people complaining about every one of them. Every hotel has some good and bad reveiws. I didn,t go by what people said about Guanahani Village. I decided to see for myself...so I spent 7 days there on my vacation. It was the best vacation I ever had. Bad reveiwers wrote that it was very run down...but when I stayed there, it was in very good shape. It's in a great location too, close to shops and restuarants. I highly recommend Guanahani Village. It is a secluded resort...not really a hotel, so you have a little privacy. Terrific ocean veiw...very affordable rates too. Guanahani Village is probably one of the most cheapest places to stay...but oddly enough is nicer than the other hotels and resorts that are in the area. Unless you plan on spending a fortune and have lots of cash to throw around...Guanahani Village is your best bet.

Low-key resort
By ,
I love this place! Sure, it's no Atlantis, but it has privacy, space AND cleanliness. I've been going here for 25 years and own a timeshare. It's worth it.

Beware!
By ,
Although the condos are spacious, they are completely run down. There is rust on the faucets, mold in the tub corners, and an overall feeling of an old resort. My family of five had to be moved into three different units- #1 had no hot water at all, #2 the air conditioning broke, and #3 had a jack hammer sound when the air conditioning was on. We moved back to unit #2 after they fixed the air( they had to fix it two times) Be aware that this is a time share and the owners get the best units. The place has been purchased and the new name is Blue Water Resort. They are starting to redo all the units, but don't even have one completed yet. The pool area is nice and the beach is small but nice and private. The food at the pool bar is fair at best. The staff was friendly, but we would not recommend or go back to Guanhani Village.
