Good rooms, FREE Internet and Great Breakfast
By LocalHomeOwner, 03/12/09
The best part is the very good complimentary breakfast plus they don't charge extra for Internet access - wireless or wired.

Excellent and recomended

I stayed at this place recently in December 2006 for 4 nights. When i steped into the hotel, i was sceptikal about it, when i walked into the room i was impressed. One of the largest rooms in the city, with very contemporary interiors.Loved the tanned wood furnitures. The view on the front facing rooms are excellent. Would recomend to travllers looking at 5 star property in Bangalore

Excellent "Fall Back" Hotel
By , 11/23/06
Getting hotel rooms in Bangalore is very difficult during "high" season. The Chancery Pavillion, being new and not as well-known as some other hotels, tends to have rooms more available than most other high-end hotels in Bangalore. This is its greatest virtue. My seven-day stay was quite pleasant. The staff were quite courteous and helpful, although they could tighten up their organizational skills. The rooms were spacious and clean. The main restaurant was all right: good for breakfast, a bit bland for lunch and dinner. (I didn't try the Indian restaurant, although my traveling companions said it was good). The location is good, but note the following: 1) the neighborhood is a bit noisy, with street-traffic creating quite a din; 2) because the hotel is so new, no one in town knows where it is, so be sure to get the staff to give some landmarks to help people find the place! If you can't get a room at some of the other high-end properties, the Chancery Pavillion gives you a good "fall back" option.

Great new hotel in Bangalore
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/21/06
Don't get confused with the other Chancery hotel in Bangalore, which is on Laville Road. This one, the Chancery Pavillion, is brand new (opened in July of 2006) and is very comfortable. The other Chancery on Laville is a real disappointment. We stayed there for a night until we demanded to be moved to the Chancery Pavillion where we had dinner on our first night in Bangalore. Overall, the hotel is very comfortable. Rooms are spacious and the ones on the front of the hotel have a great view of the traffic on Residency Road below, with the Bangalore Club in the distance along with a development that has the profile of the NYC skyline. Rooms have TV, Internet access, and an in-room safe. The AC is powerful, which is key on hot days. The rest of the hotel was also very enjoyable. The pool in the back of the hotel was pretty popular. We had dinner out there one night, though it appeared to be rented out on other nights. The food at the restaurant was excellent -- great Indian food buffet and crepes for dessert. One of the hotel managers, Kaplana, was very attentive and helped make our stay a good one. I'd definitely stay here again.
