fairytale homestay
I have heard alot about this hotel before but never manged to make a visit, until this Wednesday (and i am leaving tommorow) The hotel is hidden in a very narrow alley so people can easily pass by without notice, however, it's just perfect for travellers who would like to get closer to the local community, where you will find a primary schools, a temple behind and lots of street vendors down to the main road. Once I stepped into the hotel, the chaos and pollution had suddenly gone, all I can feel is a peace in mind, the ambiance is very relaxing. most of the furnishings and decorative are either antique or recycled, which blend with the environment perfectly. There is a small courtyard with lots of plants like a tiny forest, which connect the living space, reception, cafe and the gathering space together. Every bed room is different in terms of the wall painting, all are hand drawn & nicely done, there is a small balcony where you can enjoy the townscape, some of the rooms can even see the buddha image. What I love the most is the staff and breakfast here, I can see they are not trained in a formal way, but who cares? what is the most important is that they make me feel like a friend not a customer.
The staff told me that they are about to launch some special programs
to do with Thai festivals, guests can participate in a traditional way. The only drawback is the mosquito, so i got a mosquito cream from the 7-11 around the corner and it works very well.
