horrible venue for concert
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/23/11
Sandia should have provided a safe and enjoyable concert experience. I purchased a front row seat to watch a concert and because of the poor security/operations did not see one second of the concert. There was not a safe concert experience upon waiting for entry to the venue. Furthermore, upon entry and sitting down in my seat in my premium priced seat could not see the performer for the entire concert. I felt my safety was in jeopardy. There were several safety concerns and I feel I was threatened by one of the Sandia employees, a man that call himself a supervisor, James. Upon arriving to the concert venue there was a large mob of people standing in a lightning storm along a very long metal gate waiting for entry to the concert. Not safe. After two hours of this, we located our seats in the front row and shortly after the concert began. While the first song played, a large mob of people gathered to take pictures then remained standing the entire concert. My family witnessed several verbal arguments, some coming very close to physical arguments. My family could not see the performer at all. Furthermore, we endured the F**K word at last thirty times between concert goers and shouted at the security which stood there unprepared to handle this situation. Plus, a family had a 9 year old child dangerously standing on the rail and she could have fallen or worse. I pointed all these safety issues out to James and his only though up solution he was capable of was that I could fight my way up to the front OR he threatened to remove me himself physically out of the venue since I was not happy. I explained that I could not fight or stand up for a two hour concert because of a recovering ankle injury. Not James' concern.

Restaurant Service Pathetic
By DeeAnne, 4/6/09
Tried to telephone to confirm a reservation. If you call on Sunday or Monday when they are closed you go into an endless hold pattern on their phone system telling you that they are helping other customers. On Tuesday, when I finally was able to talk to a live person found that they had lost my reservation. They couldn't get my group of 8 in until hours after my original reservation. All was not lost though, El Pinto in Albuquerque serves some of the best traditional Mexican Food you could ask for with wonderful service. I highly recommend if you have a large group and you want to insure a delightful evening to go to El Pinto.

All Around A Wonderful Vacation:
By Lisa and Nancy..., 2/10/09
My Grandmother, best friend and I, all had such a incredible stay at the Sandia. I have such great memories, thanks in part to the great staff. From the three of us arriving, the check-in was easy and quick. The rooms were HUGE! The view beyond beautiful, really breathtaking. Maid service was so sweet and always ready for your every need. Room service was insane, some of the best food, I've ever had. Fresh, tasty, cooked to perfection! I highly recommend Sandia Resort, whatever thee occasion. I sincerely hope I can get back to New Mexico and The Sandia, sometime soon.

Sandia Casino our place to gamble!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/5/09
Sandia Casino has been our favorite place to gamble. The workers are friendly and helpful. We have stayed in the rooms also. Beautiful, spacious and comfortable. Can't say to much for gift shop. The employees are rude, they made us feel like we were bothering them. Customer service should be served with a smile. Not helpful when asking about casino or their merchandise.I asked for comment card and was told Why? Then was told there wasnt any. Ask for manager, girl said she was and i told her about customer service was not good. I was told to call in morning to talk to manager. She told me she was manager????

Diamond in the Land of Enchantment
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/11/09
We were delighted with our experience at Sandia Resort and Casino. With breathtaking views of Albuquerque on one side of the resort and the snow-capped mountains on the other side, it was the perfect getaway. We found it easy to relax and unwind in our spacious room. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was large with separate tub and glass-enclosed shower. Every employee that we had contact with was friendly and helpful and they made us feel welcome. We had so much fun gaming at the casino and playing bingo twice each day. During our five day stay, we enjoyed the buffet that had an ample selection of delectable food choices. On the last night of our stay we dined by candlelight at the Bien Shur Restaurant atop the hotel. The cuisine, service and atmosphere were wonderful! This is truly a diamond in the Land of Enchantment and we can't wait to go back!

Very Romantic
By Candace Lynn, 9/15/06
Great views of mountains and rolling green golf course. Great pool and pool side bar. Great rooms fantastic beds, full casino which were not stingy with their money. Great table games and great drinks. Fine dining on top of the hotel, did not get to enjoy it though. Arrived at 10 am and got us a room ASAP at 11am we were in a wonderful room. Buffet I heard was great, and the Steak house were we ate was great food but not very romantic. Had the overspill from the buffet. Elaborate entrance and coffee bar is nice.
