Viking Motel, Solvang

where to begin, we requested a non smoking room and they gave us a room that had a bad smoke smell. they did give us another room which did not smell. they did allow us to stay only one nite as the other motels require a 2 nite stay. the tv remote did not work, there was only 1/2 roll of toilet paper in the small bathroom, the shower faucets had to be turned different directions to work, the bed was a comfortable king. the front window latch did not lock, the back window did not open, it is in a nice location, but all motels in Solvang are. the price was $149 per nite, too much $ for what you get. older motel, kinda updated. needs to make sure all rooms are secure, and lower their rates.
