Clean room and all areas of hotel. Very impressed with this location, would definitly book again. Staff is courteous

First of all, I made reservations 3 weeks in advance. When i showed up I was told that there was something terribly wrong with my room, and that they booked me a room at a different hotel that was paid for. I assumed that that meant that they weren't going to charge me for the room at the days in. The hotel that they sent me to was awful. The door wouldn't shut, the air conditioner didn't work, and it was just horrible. The next morning I checked my bank account and it turns out I was charged for a room at the days inn. I went to the hotel and it turns out that they overbooked, and there was nothing wrong with my room because I didn't have one. The manager told me that she paid more for the other hotel (which was a lie, I had the reciept for the other hotel), and she gave me $30. I normally don't complain, but this was the worst travel experience of my life. I called the corporate office and they told me I needed to deal with the manager at the hotel. She offered me $20 (which I didn't take). So what if they paid for the crappy hotel from the seventies?! If i had known I was going to pay the Days Inn price for it, I would have just gotten my money back and spent extra for a nice hotel. Don't ever book here or you might end up staying in the ROACH MOTEL!

We were on the first floor and our ceiling sounded like a herd of elephants until midnite - everytime someone walked across the floor it creaked and groaned - I complained but it was not the fault of the person upstairs - it is the thin walls and no sound barriers - the mattress in the room was very uncomfortable - I had to remake the bed twice the keep the sheets from sliding off the mattress - I do not recommend and would not stay in any Days Inn -

Spent a rainy weekend there and still had a good time. Manager was very pleasant to deal with and offered great advise on places to dine and visit. Rooms were very clean.

My wife and I will be going back next summer for sure! The rooms were spotless, not any dust in sight and the owners were always there, therfore they helped us with everything. I cant wait to go back!

Let me start with they are not full size refrigerators,as we read in their ad. The coffee pot was dirty. They have a nice pool, but close it to early, people are on vacation they'd like to swim at night. The bath is very small.And the a/c was so noisey we did not sleep well at all.And if you want a nice view don't stay here, it was very ugly it was of like a big cement tank of some kind, not real sure. We have stayed in other places at Port A that were better, and they cost less.I doubt we will stay here again.
