El Mouradi Palm Marina, Masakin

The hotel was ok, definately not a 5 star standard. The service wasn't good, we waited for cups at breakfast for ages, and the waiters were very slow, and some of them were actually unfriendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The buffet had a lot of food and a big variety, but most of the food was very spicy and not based on international cuisine. The other facilities such as pool, gym etc. were reasonable.

I was in the last weak of the july there an it was awsome. This is one of the best hotels there. If you have ALL inlc. then you need only money for the tips. The food is good. They have also good beer and also all of others drinks are good. Don't drink water and everything will be OK :) There is whole day some animation for people in the hotel. It is never boring. You have also close to supermarket. If you want to go out to shoping is better to go to Port Kantaui or Medina. But be carefull with prices. Don't pay more then 1/3 to 1/5 that they wont to have for the things. I realy advice to go to this hotel even if it a little more expensiv then others but this one in better then others.

Nothing to dislike - everything was completely spot-on. Rooms are ideal, food is excellent and the location superb. the staff are faultless, and the cleanliness of all areas A1. Both the indoor and outdoor pool(s) are fantastic and extraordinarily well maintained, and the weather was wonderful. No kids running around (this *was* during term-time, in mid-June, to be fair), and the atmosphere was hugely relaxing. If there are no sunbeds available, you'll be provided with them, plus the mattresses (at no extra cost of course) almost immediately - if a sunbed has a towel on and is unoccupied (and has been all day - the pool guys are very on the ball) then it'll be given to you. There seems to be a zero tolerance of guests trying to 'towel' the sunbeds which is nice :) This goes for the poolside ones as well as those on the private beach. We hired a taxi all day (9am to 5pm) for 2 days running and it cost 180 Dinars per day (around �70) and the driver/guide took us wherever we wanted to go (Carthage, Sidi Bou Said, El Jem, etc) Hint - it's good form to buy lunch for your driver. The manager of the Palm Marina Hotel is the best we've ever known, as are all of his staff. Nothing is too much trouble, and no-one is doing something for you just for a tip. There is no question of coming back - two weeks next time, in September so we can have time to do the things that take a little longer, such as the camel safari to the Sahara. Wholly and wholeheartedly recommended.

We went relying on Melia standards but this hotel is far from five stars. Food and service was under average and the shortage of towels pathetic. Nevertheless location was good, the whether ok and Tunisia and is people wonderful. We had a good vacation in a three stars hotel.

This hotel was amazing. All the falicities were excellent and the people that worked there were very friendly, the entertainers especially. There was lots of entertainment at night and in the morning and i just loved it! The rooms were amazing!!! And it was the best holiday i have ever been to. I cried when i left mostly because i grew close to the entertainers and would miss the hotel. But here i am, one year gone and im still writing about how wonderful it was and i'll remember it for a lifetime. I definitely recommend it to anyone and everyone! I would have been attatched to it if the food was better but everything else was great!!!!!! And am definitely hoping to go back, it has so many awsome things for kids! From, Meera

it was amazing,people are very nice and friendly, hotel is fantastic i realy had the time of my life, entertainment is nothing special but u can go somewhere else taxi is very cheap. i realy want to go there again.

I loved everythink about it, i would definately go back!! The staff were freindly, room service was brilliant. I loved the entertainment and the shows that were put on! it was so amazing, i had the best time ever. totally amazing! everyone is really freindly, i want to go back so much.

Restaurant service is very poor and self service is small for a quantity de persons that neet to serve. The food is not variavel and the lunch is very poor.

I was there last two days ago. That hotel is very good , the room wa big , the service was very good. The pool is wery big and the animacion is great :) I want to back there again , becouse that's a hotel of my dreams :)))

After speaking to friends who had previously been to Tunisia, my husband and I decided to book into the Palm Marina for our honeymoon. On arrival,the impressive reception area seemed promising but how disappointed we were to be!! Firstly, we experienced torrential rain for the whole week - our room flooding on the second day and remaining damp for the whole week. The food was nothing special - breakfast consisted of what was left over from the previous night's dinner. The entertainment was pathetic and consisted of Tunisia's equivalent of Dirty Dancing with four of the locals dresssing up and performing ridiculous dance routines. This was the same every night except for Saturday when a magic show was put on as a special treat - wow!! We retreated to the piano bar one night in the hope of some light relief but alas one grand piano - but never anyone to play it! My main memory of this holiday is sitting in our wet hotel room, watching BBC World News ( the only English TV channel), craving for a Chinese takeaway and counting the days until we jumped on the plane home. An experience we will never repeat!!
