Avoid this Ext Stay!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/20/07
I've stayed at several Extended Stay Americas around the country for 7 years, and found most of them to be a great value with large comfortable rooms, dishes, silverware, full sized fridge-freezer, etc... And in spite of the fact that several have some surprisingly poorly trained front desk help (poor people skills, moody dispositions, or just plain lazy, etc...) I would recommend Extended Stay America for even short stays in most instances.
However, this particular one has a major problem if you like hot water. It doesn't exist here. None of the Ext Stays will scald you with hot water. But all the ones I've stayed at have hot water for showers and dishwashing.
When I addressed the concern they offered to move me to another room but said it's the same there, too. After complaining to the manager and then having to complain to the regional manager, they sent their maint man up with a thermometer and the water got as high as 110 degrees before they turned it up to 116. They said that was as high as it was allowed. After 5pm when the regional mgr left for the day they turned the temp back down.
So if you like staff that play games, lots of bacteria on your dishes, and walking around stinking from an (at best) luke warm shower, this is the place to be!
Or you can do yourself a favor and stay at one near Philly.
