DO NOT be fooled with this Groupon offer!!
By H, 7/31/12
I just saw this place on Groupon for "$199 ($400 value)" and I literally spit out what I was drinking. I stayed here about 2 years ago with my mother on a trip to Foxwoods. The place isn't a trash pit, but the only way it would be worth $400 a night (SUNDAY - THURSDAY, mind you, not even a WEEKEND) is if they handed you $350 cash upon check in. It is a MOTEL with a jacuzzi tub. The rooms don't have a "homey" feel at all. Our room had a cold tile floor, tiny bathroom with a dirty jacuzzi tub and an uncomfortable bed. I will admit, there was a cookout cocktail reception (wine and domestic beer free of charge) that all guests are invited to and that was great. There was a very sweet Jamaican lady (may or may not be one of the owners?) serving drinks and cooking on the grill and it was a nice touch. The limo service was also great. I see people on here complaining about the $5 charge.... which is crazy. Its a TIP for the driver. The cheap people that we rode the limo with complained about it and got it waived with no problem, so we gave the driver an extra $5 each. As for having to wait 45 min, this was not the case with our stay. We waited about 25 min, but this is expected, its a limo SHUTTLE service, and the driver was very polite and funny. I WOULD stay here again for a trip to Foxwoods, because its close and convenient to the casino and all of the staff was GREAT, but to say the place is worth $400 per night is just a flat out lie. Granted, the Groupon is for a "luxury king massage suite" but the building looks like it was built in the 50's and has not had any major renovations (if any) since then, and adding a jacuzzi tub, massage chair and tempurpedic mattress to an old room does NOT make it worth $400 unless I get to take them home with me! Don't pay $199 for this groupon MID-WEEK!! NOT worth the $$!!

Tragic. Dirty. Expensive. Grossly misrepresented.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/11
Tragic. Dirty. Expensive. Grossly misrepresented. Foxwoods "recommended" this place as they themselves were overbooked for the evening. When I called, Cedar Park inn gave me a hard sell saying, "…our suite is the only availability we have." However, at our 11PM arrival, the parking lot was about half full and a VACANCY sign was flashing. Liars and thiefs. The starch white linens had GIANT stains on them, the shower curtain had blood on it, the trash can had chips and other food substance lying around it, the a/c sounded like a leaded Chevy, a towel had hair on it and the non-carpeted floors were tacky (as in adhesive). The carpet was damp and hadn't been vacuumed and some of the lights didn't work. We spent a restless night ontop of the covers and bolted at 7AM. This place more than less ruined an anniversary celebration and my once-a-year "vacation".

Not what I expected!
By LTB, 11/2/08
I booked the Inn through Hotwire so I did not really have the opportunity to check it out prior to booking. The rooms are set up in a condo/appartment style rather than hotel-like which I did not care for. There were stains on the ceiling and off and on throughout the day and night you would hear water running/leaking in the walls. The thermostat was set above 75 but the room did not go above 56 during the night. I had to sleep with my sweatshirt and coat on. I will not be returning to this hotel.

Not what I thought...
By Bryan, 4/28/08
Very weird place. Our deluxe room was a tiny room, with a tiny jetted bathtub and there was a funky odor in the room the whole time. Certainly not wat i paid for. The bfast was good and the staff was real nice. We spent most of our time at foxwoods and mohegan and not in our room. Oh and the trip to mohegan costs there an back will cost you $40. Funny how they fail to mention that beforehand. Overall it was a decent weekend, not sure if id go back, probably not.

Wonderful Experience
By B M, 4/22/08
We just went for the weekend to get away from work and family. My husband and I had a great time. I originally reserved a deluxe room but he had called and upgraded to a Luxury King. The girl at the front desk was very nice and helpful. Happy hour on Saturday from 5-7:30 was great and relaxing, we took the limo to Foxwoods and it picked us back up when we called. They also serve a continental breakfast. My husband had waffles and said they were great. Did I mention happy hour and the limo were included in the room price? I loved the room it was comfortable and clean. We will absolutely go back again. My only complaint is we had to leave.

Perfect for what you get
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/20/07
we only stayed one night- we were going to a concert at Mohegan Sun, and wanted to spend the night localy-rather then travel and hour back home. For the price it was good, bed was comfy- 2 compaints would be that there whirlpool was sort of loud- and the buttons were worn so we couldn't tell how it worked-but it was nice and clean. The complimentary breakfast well all I can say is don't sleep in- we arrived at 9:30 and it is from 8 to 10 and there wasn't even coffee left. Oh well- thank goodness there is a Dunkin Donuts right down the road. Staff was very nice and accomodating.

Real nice
By LouisS, 4/5/07
My girl loved the room(so did I)We have had room 131 2 times now , love it. last time they did not have the heat on in the room, it was like 52 and the bed was like a rock but we had fun with it . When we got back from foxwoods the bed was great after the heat was on for a while. Thanks Dee Lou & Lauri

Great place, super value
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 2/22/07
We had a very enjoyable stay at Cedar Park. The setting is quiet and woodsy, it provides a unique experience. It is nicer and a greater value than other hotels in the area. The room was nicley decorated and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was gorgeous and it was nice to have the whirlpool tub. The microwave, coffee maker and mini fridge were convenient. The breakfast room is adorable, well stocked and had a great attendant to help you make fresh waffles! After reading other reviews, we were a bit weary but there was absolutely no smell and it was clean and the service was always friendly. We would definitely come back and recommend this hotel to friends and family.

By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/27/06
We had a blast...we even stayed an extra night we had such a great time. Also, give Mystic Pizza II a try! The best place to stay and the best food across the street. Hope to do it again!
