The Cancun Resort in Vegas is not what you think it is. The entire place is in dire need of new carpets (rooms/ elevators/ lobby areas), fresh paint, power washing everywhere, and new bedding. My children slept on the sleeper sofa and were covered in bed bug bites! It was disgusting. Upon checking out, we were in the elevator talking to another family and their children had slept on the sleeper sofa and were covered in bed bug bites, as well. There must be an infestation. We also felt the staff were just ok and could have been much more friendly and professional. When we would pass any staff member on the premises, not one said, 'Hello'/'How are you?'/'Welcome'. The only time they spoke to us was when they wanted money from us at our "no obligation" 90 minute (which really turned into 140 minute) presentation. When we checked in, they gave us no information about the amenities, shuttle service, activities, or housekeeping but they certainly told us a $100 charge would be on our credit card in case there were any incidentals. We were unable to get a view of the pool/strip, even though we requested it when we made our reservation. The toilet made sounds all day long and our neighbors kept smoking on their balcony. The pool was just ok. There was cool water that appeared to be clean however, guests were allowed to smoke around the pool (very inconsiderate), the towels were too narrow and didn't cover the arm rests (which were probably 120 degrees), there weren't enough rafts for at least each room, no misters, no waterfall, and there was zero poolside service. For what we paid, we could have stayed at a far better hotel/casino on the strip. We are so thankful we did not become owners.....whew!
The grounds were beautiful, landscaping so neat, clean and well kept. Maintenance people were so busy keeping the outside beautiful, they forgot about the inside. Building #4, third floor - green carpets-dirty dirty dirty. The supposidly white tile floors -grey with dirt-grout inbetween tiles-a dirtier grey. This was in the entry way and both bathrooms. Bath room-shower head coming out of the wall - We had to take showers with our shoes on afraid we would get germs. Heat lamp in the middle of the room-about to fall out of the ceiling. TV didn't work in one bedroom. We had to open the refrigerator door for the dishwasher door to open??? All the rooms need painting, the colors in rooms make the rooms appear dirty. Clean the place up, update the carpet. Georgeous swim area.
I went there last month and have been coming here for 3 years and I love the young crowd this place attracts ranging 23 - 30 yrs old I love the amenities and cleanliness of the place and the penthouse stay is a must. It's over 2,300 sq ft, Jacuzzi Spa tubs, A Jacuzzi on your balcony, Plush carpet, with a fully stocked bar living room dining room and a kitchen with stainless steel appliances.Beautiful place for anyone to stay I highly recommend it.
I booked this room as part of a time share presentation. The room was beautiful with a fully stocked kitchenette. The bedroom had a comfortable bed and the master bath had a jucuzzi tub. The living room had a pull out couch and a balcony. There was also a dining room table. The presentayion was quick & painless. Well worth the room. They have a shuttle that drops you off on the strip but if you want to party the night away you'll have to catch a cab
We have gone to the Cancun two times and each time is GREAT! It's location just off the strip provides a relaxing enviorment while you can be right on Las Vegas Blvd. in about 5 minutes. They have a great pool and it is family friendly with the only gambeling in the bar. The food is a little pricey but there are stores close so you can cook your own meals. The room was fairly clean and the service was helpfull. All in all it was a great stay and I can't wait to go back! (I would rate them a four and a half but it is either 4 stars or 5 stars.)
We have owned at Pacific Monarch for five years and have only stayed at the Cancun Resort. To our disappointment, the benefits and accomodations have not been as we expected. First, the 6 person limit in the pool and surrounding areas are ridiculous. It is a great location for a small-to-mediun party of friends (for a day visit), but it is difficult to enjoy the outer resort areas with such a limitation, particularly when it is not that crowded!!! We have had availability issues since owning which is frustrating also, and we have yet to enjoy the penthouse!!! Owners should have first preference on reservations and locations with a view. This year is the first time we could book in advance and actually get a two bedroom on the dates we plan to be there, but still, the penthouse is not available on the day we need it! If our stay this May is not any better than the past, we plan to sell our membership. For the cost, and as a Las Vegas resort, you can do MUCH better!!! The availability of food delivery menu's, in the suites, would be very helpful also because your cafe closes too early, and not everyone is interested in going either to a restaurant or to the strip for dining! Lastly, add a PARTY ROOM with catering services to the resort please!!!!
We stayed at the Cancun for 5 days in September 2010. The staff was very professional and helpful. They were able to upgrade our unit from a 1 bdrm to a 2 bdrm the night we checked in. We had 2 adults and 2 teenagers in our party and it had plenty of space. It was very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. They had an awesome pool yet the resort was quiet after hours. It was very relaxing and stress free for us. The resort is very family friendly. We were close to grocery stores and restaurants. It was close to the strip and we had a cool view. We were able to park directly outside our unit. We not only highly recommend it, we loved it so much that we plan to return next year!
this is a great place stayed here a few years back. the room was aesome and this the only hotel i have stayed at so far that has a kitchen and dining table.the hotels i have stayed at that didnt have a kitchen or dining table have been flamingo laughlin, circus circus reno, maywood inn l.a,and i cant remember the name of an hotel in vegas. the only problem is that its not on the strip or downtown reno.if it wud have a casino i wudnt care the location. im not sure if there is any casinos less than a mile away.other than that great hotel
There is an awesome pool at Cancun Resort. This is a must see and experience. For those that want a little relaxation and some fun in the sun this is the place to be. Huge pool, water fall, hot tubs and water slides.
our first time there we loved the place and decided for chritsmas time instead of giving presents to family members we get a suite and take my mom and 2 sisters with us,they place us on the 8th floor and we kind of like it, and my younger sister who was going to a severe stress at the time slept on the right side bedroom, wich was next to the hotel boiler..it was horrible, day and night, we told the people at the front and noone care so is been the worst chritsmas for all and now we all make a joke about it but trully we are ashame for running theyre vacation by taking them to this pace to' relax' i would never recomend it again and at soon as we finish paying the time share, we'll selling it for half price.(they make you rent for two days as a mandatory rule if you need to reserve the suite)
