Beware!
The Cancun Resort in Vegas is not what you think it is. The entire place is in dire need of new carpets (rooms/ elevators/ lobby areas), fresh paint, power washing everywhere, and new bedding. My children slept on the sleeper sofa and were covered in bed bug bites! It was disgusting. Upon checking out, we were in the elevator talking to another family and their children had slept on the sleeper sofa and were covered in bed bug bites, as well. There must be an infestation. We also felt the staff were just ok and could have been much more friendly and professional. When we would pass any staff member on the premises, not one said, 'Hello'/'How are you?'/'Welcome'. The only time they spoke to us was when they wanted money from us at our "no obligation" 90 minute (which really turned into 140 minute) presentation. When we checked in, they gave us no information about the amenities, shuttle service, activities, or housekeeping but they certainly told us a $100 charge would be on our credit card in case there were any incidentals. We were unable to get a view of the pool/strip, even though we requested it when we made our reservation. The toilet made sounds all day long and our neighbors kept smoking on their balcony. The pool was just ok. There was cool water that appeared to be clean however, guests were allowed to smoke around the pool (very inconsiderate), the towels were too narrow and didn't cover the arm rests (which were probably 120 degrees), there weren't enough rafts for at least each room, no misters, no waterfall, and there was zero poolside service. For what we paid, we could have stayed at a far better hotel/casino on the strip. We are so thankful we did not become owners.....whew!
